Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.1m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Atlantique 47 design. Launched in January 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2025.

Exterior Design

Aqua Chiara carries the strong, distinctive lines of the Columbus Atlantique 47 series. Her profile blends smooth flow with tension, widening at the midsection before narrowing back toward bow and stern. The result is a clean, elegant exterior that leans into generous volumes and constant connection to the sea.

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she measures 47m (154.2ft) in length with a beam of 9.10m (29.9ft) and a draft of 2.4m (7.9ft). Her volume is capped at 499GT, balancing ample interior space with streamlined proportions.

Her stern design is a defining feature, in keeping with the Atlantique range’s emphasis on life at sea level. Outdoor living is arranged over three cascading levels. Furthest forward on the main deck is a shaded dining area, which flows into a central lounge with an infinity-edge pool and fold-down sea terraces. Furthest aft, a swim platform hovers just 50cm above the waterline and includes a transformer for easy access.

On the upper deck, the bow hosts a second, larger pool flanked by sunbeds, a rounded sofa, and occasional tables. Further aft, a lounge area furnished with Talenti teak sofas, armchairs and an eight-person table can shift into a cinema setup if needed. There’s also a formal dining table indoors, designed in teak and marble, which seats 12 guests in Minotti chairs beneath a sculptural Viabizzuno chandelier. Floor-to-ceiling windows slide open on both sides, and the full-beam aft glass doors connect the entire deck to the sea, creating a true indoor-outdoor flow.

The foredeck includes a pantry and dayhead, and leads up to the bridge area and Captain’s quarters. A third outdoor lounge crowns the sundeck, fitted with soft seating at its heart, a console station aft, and a wide sunpad with integrated bar forward.

A 5m (16.4ft) tender is stored in a starboard-side garage, while the rescue tender and two jet skis are kept in a separate port-side forward garage.

With two pools and multiple lounging areas, Aqua Chiara’s decks are made for all-day outdoor living.

Interior Design

Hot Lab is behind both the exterior and interior of Aqua Chiara, and their approach indoors reflects a blend of timeless materials and sharp modern touches. There’s a clear emphasis on texture and contrast: smooth leathers, deep-toned marble, and richly veined glass are offset by mosaic art pieces and precise metallic finishes.

In the main saloon, the design plays on the feel of an island escape, using large white upholstered sofas trimmed in blue to anchor the space. Fendi Totu armchairs and a teak coffee table complete the lounging area, while a Stopsol glass panel cleverly incorporates a 75-inch television without disturbing the clean aesthetic. Light oak ceilings lacquered in matte white pair with white parquet floors and floor-to-ceiling windows framed in dark, metal-effect woodwork.

Throughout the interior, Vetrite panels and decorative Sicis mosaics introduce colour and pattern. One standout example is the full-height blue and black mosaic wall at the forward end of the upper deck saloon, matched by a Linea chandelier overhead and glass doors that open onto the exterior deck terraces.

The galley, professionally equipped and located to port, is separate from the guest areas. Decorative elements continue in the stairwell, where burnished metal stairs with dark brown treads and a hammered leather handrail sit beside a statement wall of Vetrite in mixed tones. Lighting details come in the form of Cantalupi tubes, shaped from borosilicate glass in black and white metal twists.

Forward on the main deck, the helm station sits adjacent to a calm lobby and just aft of the Captain’s cabin. Additional social space is spread across all decks, with relaxed seating on the sundeck and multiple lounging zones designed to adapt between informal and formal use.

Accommodation

Accommodation on Aqua Chiara is designed for a total of 10 guests, with five guest cabins laid out across the main and lower decks. The Owner’s suite is forward on the main deck and includes a generous walk-in wardrobe, a sofa, and a large ensuite bathroom. The sleeping area is framed by dark brown leather and burnished metal finishes, with Galaxy blue glass wall panels adding depth and colour. Lighting is by Bonaldo’s Sofi collection, featuring burnished brass and blown glass pieces.

The Owner’s bathroom is split between a marble bath and a separate shower, complete with a hammam system. Wall mosaics by Sicis use silver tones in structured geometric patterns to elevate the space.

Below deck, two guest cabins are arranged with king-size beds and two with twin beds. Each cabin includes its own ensuite bathroom clad in white marble with Sicis mosaic accents. The design again balances dark, tactile elements such as leather headboards and Vetrite wall features with light carpeted flooring and soft decorative lighting. Fixtures include Bonbori-Brokis wall sconces inspired by Japanese paper lanterns, and Superluna bedside lamps in black and gold metal by Oluce. Doors are finished in charcoal-grey metal and glass, incorporating a metallic weave fabric called Aquafil by Syntarqui.

Crew accommodation is positioned forward on the lower deck and includes four cabins for a total crew of eight. The Captain’s cabin is situated on the upper deck just behind the bridge, offering easy operational access.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht Acqua Chiara is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. She has a maximum range of 3,400 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots.

Stern to bow, Aqua Chiara is designed to keep the horizon always within reach.
