Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 26'3" beam and a 6'11" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 337 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2018 with the keel laid under the project name 'YN199'. This was the second yacht built on the Moonen 122 Martinique design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in October 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2020.
Exterior Design
Kokoro, the second yacht in Moonen’s Martinique 122 series, combines steel and aluminium construction with the long-range efficiency of a fast-displacement hull. Her broad beam and wide-body design create generous exterior passages, with tall railings and deep companionways that emphasise safety and ease of movement.
The bow rises in a rounded sheer, leading to a teak-clad foredeck framed by prominent guardrails. Open fairleads are set into the gleaming white hull, while neat rows of portholes brighten the lower deck spaces with natural light. A broad bathing platform at the stern sits low to the water and can be reached from the main deck aft via twin staircases. Integrated shell doors in this area provide direct access to watercraft.
The main deck aft is arranged for outdoor dining, with a mix of banquette seating and fitted cabinetry to serve guests. Higher up, the upper deck provides a large guest area with tender storage and a launching crane set aft. A bold black bootstripe runs along the waterline, giving contrast to the hull.
At the top of the profile, the sundeck offers a sociable layout with built-in banquette seating across the aft beam. Ahead sits a circular jacuzzi tub raised on teak steps, positioned beneath the mast canopy that rests on slim black supports. A stairway on the port quarter connects to the deck below. Adding an extra detail to her profile, a compact grill has been set neatly just abaft the nameplate on the upper deck level.
Interior Design
Inside, Kokoro’s main saloon is styled in soft, neutral tones with accents of sea green, mustard and deep blue. The furnishings mix comfortable settees with Giorgetti-designed Progetti armchairs, all set on patterned rugs. A feature wall finished in driftwood mosaic lends a relaxed, beach-club atmosphere.
Lighting is layered, combining Atolli table lamps with French Horn wall sconces. Cabins are finished with horizontal wood panelling, the tones lightened with shades of grey-blue and occasional gold details for contrast. Together, the palette and textures create a calm, contemporary feel with warmth and character.
Accommodation
Kokoro offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 2 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) 12-cylinder 1,951hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Kokoro is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 9,246 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
