The 89.6m motor yacht Milky Way is being constructed by Dutch shipyard Feadship and is due to be delivered in 2026. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt, while RWD is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 13.61m beam and a 3.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,623 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Milky Way is one of the purest expressions of Feadship's modern design language. At 89.6m (294ft), the yacht relies on proportion rather than decoration, with Studio De Voogt stripping the profile back to long, uninterrupted lines and carefully balanced volumes. The result is a yacht that feels quietly confident, where every element has a clear purpose and nothing appears unnecessary.
The defining feature is the exceptionally long foredeck. Rather than filling the bow with accommodation, Feadship deliberately extended the forward section to push much of the yacht's volume aft. This creates a remarkably elegant profile, with the near-vertical bow leading into four beautifully layered decks that appear to float above one another thanks to continuous bands of dark glazing. The superstructure has considerable volume, but the generous overhangs and strong horizontal lines prevent it from ever feeling heavy.
Studio De Voogt also gave the yacht a distinctive mast that rises cleanly from the centre of the profile, providing a strong vertical counterpoint to the long deck lines. The restrained styling allows the yacht's proportions to become the main visual statement, an approach that has become a hallmark of Feadship's largest custom projects.
Aft, the owner's brief becomes unmistakable. Stretching 16.7m (54.8ft) by 3m (9.8ft), the main deck swimming pool occupies more than 50m² (538ft²), making it one of the largest pools installed aboard a private yacht. Rather than serving as a simple plunge pool, it provides genuine space for swimming while acting as the centrepiece of the yacht's outdoor living areas. The surrounding decks have been planned to create generous circulation and flexible spaces for relaxing, entertaining and spending time by the water.
Interior Design
British studio RWD developed an interior that complements the disciplined exterior architecture without competing with it. While the profile is defined by straight lines and crisp geometry, the guest spaces introduce softer forms and flowing shapes that create a calmer, more relaxed atmosphere throughout the yacht.
The design centres on movement and connection between spaces. Rather than treating each room as a separate destination, the layout allows one area to flow naturally into the next, supported by generous circulation and carefully considered sightlines. This approach reflects the owner's request for a yacht that supports both active living and quiet relaxation, allowing the interior to adapt easily throughout the day.
Large sections of glazing bring natural light deep into the guest accommodation while maintaining uninterrupted views of the sea.
Leisure & Entertainment
Milky Way was conceived around a lifestyle that balances activity with relaxation. The vast pool deck forms the focal point of life outdoors, offering enough space for proper swimming rather than simply cooling off between sunbathing sessions. Around it, broad terraces and flexible seating areas allow the deck to change easily between private family use and larger social occasions.
Throughout the yacht, exterior circulation has been carefully refined so guests can move naturally between decks without interrupting one another. The owner's brief called for a highly flexible environment, and that philosophy extends across the outdoor spaces, where generous proportions and open layouts allow each area to serve multiple purposes throughout the day.
