Princess X90/01 is a 27.11m motor yacht due to be delivered by British shipyard Princess in 2026. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Princess, while Bernard Olesinski is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.62m beam and a 1.79m draft.

This was the first yacht built on the X90 design. Launched in May 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Princess X90 Hull #1 is the first yacht in Princess Yachts’ new X90 programme, positioned between the X80 and X95 Vista. At around 27.4m (90ft), she carries the high-volume X Class look, with a tall, upright profile, long dark glazing and an upper deck that stretches well aft.

Her key exterior feature is the expandable cockpit. Fold-down terraces to port and starboard extend the aft deck, so the cockpit becomes a beach club-style space with a stronger link to the water. An infinity-style glass transom opens the aft view, while curved patio doors connect the cockpit directly to the main deck dining area.

The Super Flybridge is another major shift. Princess has moved the primary helm up into an enclosed flybridge helm and skylounge, while the open aft section remains a large outdoor deck for lounging and dining. This frees up more main deck volume and gives the yacht a full upper-level living space.

Under the waterline, the X90 introduces the Princess Hybrid Progressive-Planing hull, developed with Olesinski. This hull form is shaped to run efficiently at lower speeds while still lifting cleanly onto the plane at higher speeds. Princess states it uses less power above 16 knots compared to the Y85 on a like-for-like basis, while maintaining similar fuel use at slower speeds despite the X90’s greater weight.

Interior Design

The Princess X90 is designed around more open main deck living, made possible by moving the main helm to the Super Flybridge. This allows the main deck to focus on guest space, with larger lounge and dining areas and a stronger flow out to the cockpit.

Curved patio doors link the dining area to the aft deck, so the main deck can work as one broad social zone when open. The glass transom and wider cockpit opening also bring more light into the aft section, while the X Class layout aims to keep the connection to the sea strong from inside.

Accommodation

Princess X90/01 offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Motor yacht Princess X90/01 is capable of reaching a top speed of 26 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
