Commissioned by returning Heesen owners, the 920GT aluminum yacht has been developed as a long-range family cruiser with a shallow draft, expansive outdoor living areas and a highly customized layout. The yacht's exterior was designed by Omega Architects, while Cristiano Gatto Design was responsible for the interiors. Naval architecture was developed in-house by Heesen.
Designed around an experienced owner's brief
Project Setteesettanta represents the second Heesen built for the same owners, who returned to the Dutch yard after completing their previous project with a clear vision for how they wanted to spend time on board.
That brief centered on extended cruising with family and friends, resulting in a yacht with a shallow 2.3-meter draft for accessing anchorages that larger vessels may struggle to reach, alongside generous exterior spaces intended for life outdoors. With a gross tonnage of 920GT, the yacht offers four decks of accommodation while maintaining an all-aluminum construction and a top speed of 18 knots.
A dedicated owner's sanctuary
One of the yacht's defining features is an entire upper deck dedicated to the owners. The forward-facing master suite benefits from 180-degree views and direct access to a private terrace measuring almost 200 square meters, which also serves as a touch-and-go helipad.
Guest accommodation is arranged across the remaining decks for up to 12 guests. A VIP suite occupies the forward section of the main deck alongside a dedicated gym, while the lower deck houses four additional guest cabins comprising two doubles and two twins. Connecting all four decks is an oval staircase, while the main deck dining room has been positioned aft with large sliding glass doors opening directly onto the exterior terrace to create a continuous entertaining space.
Cristiano Gatto Design developed the interiors, with the designer also acting as the owners' representative throughout construction. The motor yacht's bespoke interior joinery was produced entirely at Heesen's specialist interior facility in Winterswijk, with the owners personally selecting the marble finishes during visits to Verona.
A first for Heesen's design team
Project Setteesettanta is the first Heesen yacht to position the wheelhouse on a fourth deck, allowing for a dedicated observation deck above the owners' accommodation. Despite the additional deck, Omega Architects maintained a low-profile silhouette through a lightweight mast designed by Frank Laupman and the use of flat Starlink panels instead of traditional satellite domes.
Aft, a four-meter infinity pool forms the centerpiece of the beach area, framed by twin staircases leading down to the swim platform.
The yacht is powered by twin 1,440kW MTU 16V2000M72 engines, delivering a top speed of 18 knots. At a cruising speed of 12 knots, Heesen projects a transatlantic range of approximately 3,900 nautical miles.
Commenting on the launch, Heesen CEO Jeroen van der Meer said that welcoming repeat clients back to the yard demonstrates the confidence experienced owners place in the shipbuilder. He added that Project Setteesettanta required significant in-house engineering and craftsmanship, with everything from the naval architecture to the yacht's bespoke furniture completed within Heesen's own facilities.

Following her launch, Project Setteesettanta will remain at the Oss shipyard while final systems are commissioned before beginning sea trials in the North Sea later this summer. Delivery is expected before the end of 2026.
A busy year for Heesen
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Project Setteesettanta joins a busy period for the Dutch builder. Earlier this year, Heesen delivered the 55-meter Pa'lante and launched the 50-meter Project Sophia, while work continues on several custom and semi-custom projects, including the 72-meter Project Ananda, which remains one of the largest yachts currently under construction at the yard.
Project Ananda is on the market with Heesen and is currently asking €159,900,000.
This latest launch further expands the yard's portfolio of owner-commissioned projects and demonstrates continued demand for highly customized superyachts in the 50 to 70-meter segment.
