VIDEO: Heesen Delivers 55m Superyacht Pa'lante Ahead of Monaco Yacht Show Debut

Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has delivered the 55m motor yacht Pa'lante, previously known as Project Frida, signaling the builder's first completed yacht of 2026.

As the latest addition to the successful Heesen 55m Steel series, the superyacht completed sea trials in the North Sea and is now departing the Netherlands for a shakedown cruise before joining her owners in the Mediterranean this summer. The yacht is also expected to make her public debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Designed by Omega Architects with interiors by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, Pa'lante represents the latest example of Heesen's Smart Custom approach, which pairs a proven engineering platform with opportunities for owner customization during construction.

A Proven Platform Refined Through Experience

At 55m and with a approximate gross tonnage of 760GT, Pa'lante is built on Heesen's established steel platform, featuring a Fast Displacement Hull Form developed with Van Oossanen Naval Architects. The yacht offers a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 11 knots while maintaining dimensions suited to many Mediterranean ports and anchorages.

The project forms part of Heesen's Smart Custom strategy, which uses operational data gathered across the fleet to continually refine engineering and design while reducing delivery times compared with a fully custom yacht build.

"The successful delivery of Pa'lante underscores Heesen's continued commitment to building yachts on speculation," said CEO Jeroen van der Meer. "By continually refining a proven steel platform with operational data, we optimize both efficiency and reliability." The yacht was launched in August 2025 before completing outfitting and commissioning ahead of her June 2026 delivery.

Signature Heesen Styling with Long-Range Capability

Pa'lante's profile carries many of the defining characteristics of Heesen's modern steel fleet. Omega Architects has given the yacht a sleek, contemporary appearance characterized by long bands of glazing, clean horizontal lines, and the studio's distinctive "shark tooth" wheelhouse overhang.

Outdoor living plays a central role in the layout. The sundeck features a whirlpool surrounded by sunpads, lounge seating, and a full-service bar, while the bridge deck aft extends the skylounge experience outdoors with additional space for relaxation and entertaining.

At the stern, broad steps descend to a beach club and swim platform, creating direct access to the water. Wide side decks and uncluttered circulation routes further support extended use of the exterior spaces throughout the superyacht.

A Full-Beam Owner's Suite and Contemporary Interiors

The interiors by Luca Dini Design & Architecture pair dark wengé wood, pale sycamore finishes, and Calcite Blue stone with extensive glazing that brings natural light deep into the yacht's living spaces. A 77-square-meter main salon forms the heart of the layout, while custom joinery and display cabinetry were developed to showcase the owners' art collection.

The motor yacht accommodates 12 guests across six staterooms, highlighted by a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck featuring a private study, walk-in wardrobe, en suite bathroom, and private veranda. Four guest cabins are located on the lower deck, with a further VIP suite positioned on the bridge deck. Crew accommodations provide space for 13.

Heesen's Active Construction Pipeline

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the world's largest yacht database, Heesen currently has nine yachts on order or under construction. Recent highlights include the 72.3m Project Ananda, the first yacht developed under the yard's new Smart Custom strategy, alongside the 57m Project Evita and the 55m Project Diana, both scheduled for delivery in 2027.

Activity has also continued on the water. Earlier this week, the 50m all-aluminum Project Sophia successfully completed North Sea sea trials, exceeding her contractual top speed ahead of delivery later this summer. Together, these projects underline continued momentum across Heesen's speculative and commissioned build programs.
