Third Custom Line Navetta 38 Motor Yacht Launched at Ferretti Group’s Ancona Yard

The third hull of the Custom Line Navetta 38 has entered the water following a private launch ceremony at Ferretti Group’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona.

The 39m Custom Line Navetta 38 yacht is the latest launch for Custom Line, exhibiting a contemporary displacement line that integrates the shipyard's hallmark refinement with practical, long-range cruising credentials.

The event marks the fifth Custom Line launch between January and March 2025  - the third hull, ordered by a European owner family with a longstanding connection to Ferretti Group, is the latest project to emerge from a design collaboration involving the Group’s Product Strategy and Engineering Departments, with exterior lines by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel.

Made to Measure, Inside and Out

As with every Custom Line yacht, the design process of the yacht was tailored from the start to the owner's vision. The Custom Line Atelier, a dedicated team of in-house architects, worked closely with the project managers to translate the owner’s style into a cohesive interior scheme focused on comfort, spaciousness, and a strong connection to the sea.

The owners, already in possession of two Ferretti Group superyachts, sought a layout that would increase the sense of openness onboard. In the main saloon, a central mirrored ceiling panel enhances headroom perception and light flow, while mirrored surfaces along the walls, mouldings, and ceiling inserts further amplify the feeling of volume. Expansive full-height glazing supports this effect, establishing a seamless indoor-outdoor connection and bringing in natural light throughout.

Custom Interiors Shaped Around Owner Lifestyle

One of the most distinctive elements of this hull is the highly customized galley. The owner prioritized functionality without compromising aesthetics, opting for deep cabinetry and efficient storage layouts designed around social use. With large windows drawing in the seascape and sunlight, the galley is envisioned as a key social hub rather than just a working area.

Durability and longevity were also important considerations. The master bathroom on the main deck features Botticino Semi Classico marble, selected for its timeless appearance and robust structural qualities. Across the yacht, materials were chosen to balance hardwearing practicality with visual warmth. Teak, oak, and leather feature prominently, complemented by soft-toned wallpaper that adds texture without excess.

A muted beige palette, accented by deeper mocha and brown tones, shapes a calm, sophisticated atmosphere throughout the motor yacht. The resulting interior maintains the understated elegance Custom Line is known for, while clearly reflecting the owner’s personal preferences.

With a beam of 8.00 meters and a volume of 299 GT, the Navetta 38 continues to appeal to discerning clients seeking transoceanic capability wrapped in refined, custom design. This latest hull is a clear example of how Custom Line’s production can adapt to individual lifestyles without losing sight of its signature quality and craftsmanship.

Navetta 38 Joins a Growing Fleet of Custom Line Builds

According to YachtBuyer Market Watch & Intelligence, the largest yacht database in the world, Custom Line currently has 31 yachts either in build or on order. While the Navetta 38 continues to attract interest with its balance of volume and customization, the shipyard’s broader success is being driven by several other flagship models across its displacement lineup.

The Custom Line Navetta 42 remains the largest model in the range and a cornerstone of the brand’s appeal. Spanning four decks with a 41m LOA and a gross tonnage of 370 GT, it pairs spacious layouts with thoughtful features such as a float-in tender garage, beach club, and panoramic glazing. The layout emphasizes flow, privacy, and comfort, underpinned by a top speed of 18 knots and a 3,800-nautical-mile range.

Just below it, the Custom Line Navetta 33 continues to perform as a versatile, award-winning platform. Its open-plan interiors and four-deck configuration allow for creative layouts, while folding terraces and generous glazing bring the sea close.
