WATCH: Interior Revealed of First 29m Ferretti 940 ‘Home on the Water’ Yacht

Ferretti Yachts has released the first full interior photos and a video of their new 29-meter flagship yacht, the Ferretti 940, revealing how the widebody layout has been used to elevate onboard space and comfort.

Following her public debut at the 2025 Venice Boat Show, the new photos and video reveal a warm, light-filled interior crafted in collaboration with design studio IdeaeITALIA

Home-Like Living Spaces Styled by IdeaeITALIA

The newly released imagery reveals a relaxed, contemporary interior styled in IdeaeITALIA’s “Classic” theme. Earthy tones, rich textures, and marble accents are used throughout the superyacht to create an elegant, grounded feel. Owners also have the option of a “Contemporary” scheme with lighter hues and ocean-inspired fabrics.

A near 30-square-meter main saloon is accessed via large sliding glass doors, with additional glazing including a floor-to-ceiling window in the dining area and a sliding glass panel on the starboard side. The layout of the yacht includes a corner Minotti sofa, a sliding TV, and a dining table for eight guests. The design emphasizes openness and natural light, supported by minimalist gunwales and unobstructed exterior parapets.

Forward on the main deck, the widebody master suite takes full advantage of the yacht’s beam. The 27-square-meter space includes a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, and a bespoke vanity table finished in Silver Roots marble. The full-beam bathroom continues the marble theme with a spacious shower and smoked glass partitions.

Clean Lines and Configurable Outdoor Spaces

The Ferretti 940’s profile features long, horizontal lines and a clean silhouette. The main deck aft on board the motor yacht includes a 32-square-meter cockpit that can be furnished either with fixed sofas or freestanding pieces, as seen on the first hull. A glass parapet at the stern maintains visual flow toward the sea, and a concealed tender garage accommodates a 4.1-meter tender.

The flybridge, spanning 50 square meters, is the yacht’s key outdoor space and includes a shaded dining area, helm station, outdoor galley, and flexible lounge zones. The first unit features Minotti and Talenti furnishings throughout, along with a sculptural, lightweight structural arch that wraps the deck.

Forward, the outdoor area is arranged with a large sunpad and a forward-facing C-shaped sofa around a teak coffee table, with the option of a sun awning.

Smart Accommodation Layout

The five-cabin layout includes the main deck owner’s suite, three VIP cabins, and a twin cabin with sliding beds on the lower deck, each with an en suite bathroom and generous storage. The guest areas are designed for privacy and comfort, offering a level of volume rarely seen in this size bracket.

Crew accommodation is positioned forward and includes a single captain’s cabin and a double crew cabin, both with en suite facilities. An optional layout allows for two double crew cabins, raising capacity to four.

The Ferretti Yachts 940 offers two engine configurations: twin MAN V12 2,000 hp engines delivering a top speed of 25 knots and cruising at 21 knots, or upgraded MAN V12X 2,200 hp engines for speeds of 27 and 23 knots, respectively. The yacht holds CE Category A classification for offshore cruising.

Ferretti’s Order Book Reflects Demand for Space, Style, and Range

According to YachtBuyer Market Watch and Intelligence, the world's largest yacht database, Ferretti Yachts has 28 yachts currently in build, with the new 29-meter Ferretti 940 joined by several core models that reflect varying owner priorities - from volume and flexibility to speed and long-range cruising.

Compared to the 940’s widebody layout and balanced mix of open-plan interiors and streamlined style, the Ferretti 1000 takes volume a step further. At 30.13 meters, it delivers a full-beam owner’s suite, four guest cabins, and an expansive flybridge that runs almost the full length of the yacht. It also offers higher speeds, reaching 28 knots with twin MTUs.

The Ferretti 860, slightly shorter than the 940 at 26.95 meters, is more compact but sportier, with a 32-knot top speed and two- or four-cabin layout options. Its smart styling and flexible flybridge configuration make it a popular choice for owners seeking a performance-focused alternative in the same size bracket.

Meanwhile, the Ferretti InFYnito 90 shifts away from traditional flybridge lines entirely. With an enclosed superstructure, five-cabin layouts, and a standout bow terrace, it emphasizes interior volume and range over speed. It shares the 940’s focus on comfort but adds a 1,200-nautical-mile cruising range for longer journeys.

The newly released interior imagery cements the Ferretti 940’s position as a spacious and thoughtfully styled option in the sub-30-meter category. With strong sales already secured and a design that balances volume, elegance, and functionality, it stands confidently alongside Ferretti’s top-selling models while offering a distinctly home-like onboard experience.
