On Deck

This Benetti 34M Oasis makes its point straight away at the stern, and the name itself ties directly to what you find here, because the aft deck is built around that Oasis concept. The beach club sits right down at water level, so you are close to the sea, and it centres around a large hot tub set right at the back, as well as a generous seating area wrapped around it. The drop-down balconies open the space out to port and starboard, and when you are underway they lift back up through ninety degrees to form bulwarks, so the area still works at speed.

It feels like a beach club on steroids, and that is not far off the mark, because the whole aft section is given over to being down by the water, and that is exactly where people want to be. You can sit here with your feet almost at sea level while the sides are open, and that direct link to the water is what defines the yacht.

Access into the saloon runs through curved glass doors that sweep right around the aft end, so the inside and outside connect without a hard break. From the upper aft deck you can look straight down over this Oasis area, and that gives you a clear sense of scale as well as how central it is to the layout.

Moving forward on the upper deck, there are wing stations on both sides, and these let you look straight down the hull while manoeuvring, so handling a yacht of this size becomes far more manageable. The foredeck combines seating with storage, and beneath it sits space for toys including a personal watercraft, as well as the anchor gear, bollards and ship’s bell laid out in the usual way.

Up on the sun deck, the layout shifts again, so you have forward sunpads protected by a glazed screen that takes the edge off the wind, while still keeping the view open. Speakers are placed throughout, and aft there is a bar and grill area with fridge and ice maker, so this becomes a proper social space whether you are at anchor or underway. The hardtop above carries the radars, sat domes, antennae, cameras and Starlink, all grouped cleanly overhead.

A side-access garage sits aft on the main deck, and inside there is a Williams 505 diesel jet tender, which has been deflated to fit the available headroom, while the folding console keeps height down as well. There is power inflation on hand, so you can deploy it easily, and there is space for fishing rods, tow toys, boards and plenty more besides, including the inevitable water pistols.

Crew movement is also well thought through, because a side deck route from the galley allows them to move fore and aft without crossing guest areas, and that keeps everything running smoothly.

Interior Accommodation

The main saloon continues the same theme as the deck, and the curved aft doors, along with full-height glazing on both sides, bring in a lot of natural light while keeping the sea in view at all times. The formal dining area sits within this space, and although it is clearly defined, it still feels open because of the windows and the connection back to the aft deck.

The layout flows cleanly, so from the saloon you can move to the galley, the day head, the stairs up to the sky lounge, or down to the lower deck, as well as forward into the owner’s suite behind a pocket door. This keeps circulation simple while allowing different areas to be closed off when needed.

Upstairs, the sky lounge shifts the tone slightly, so it feels more relaxed, with a TV, seating and a small pantry, and that pantry links to the galley via a dumbwaiter. That lift runs across three levels, so food and drinks can move between main deck, upper deck and sun deck without disruption.

Forward on this level sits the bridge, and it has a modern layout with space for crew to sit as well, while side deck access is immediate. There is also an office space nearby, as well as a captain’s cabin and a day head, so this level combines operational and social functions.

Owner's Cabin

The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, and it is accessed through a pocket door from the saloon, so it remains private while still being easy to reach. Entry begins with a walk-in wardrobe, and from there you move into the main cabin itself.

The design uses muted shades and light flooring, so the focus stays on the view outside, and with large windows on both sides you are always aware of the ocean. There is a desk or dressing table set to one side, as well as integrated storage that keeps the space clean.

Forward again, the en suite bathroom runs across the beam, and it includes separate shower spaces with access from both sides, while pocket doors allow it to be closed off when required. The whole suite feels calm and open, and it ties directly into that idea of life on the water.

Guest Accommodation

The lower deck is arranged with four guest cabins, and these are laid out in mirrored pairs, so the aft section holds two double cabins, while forward there are two twin cabins.

The double cabins each include wardrobes, drawer storage and en suite bathrooms with rainfall showers, and the detailing includes recessed handles and tidy joinery, so everything stays clean and uncluttered. The twin cabins follow a similar approach, and they also include discreet emergency escape routes, so there are alternative exits from the deck if needed.

Headroom throughout is strong, so there is no sense of compromise, and every cabin has its own en suite with shower and toilet. A central lobby connects the spaces, and it also links to housekeeping storage as well as routes toward technical areas.

Crew Accommodation

There are three crew cabins, and each one has its own en suite, while a crew mess provides seating, a TV, fridge and basic cooking facilities.

A full laundry sits alongside with four machines, so longer trips are well supported, and the galley connects directly to this area. The galley itself includes large refrigeration, cooking stations and extractor systems, as well as a lift-up section for additional prep space.

A dumbwaiter links the galley to the upper and sun decks, so service can move easily between levels, while a pantry area provides a staging point. There is also a side door from the galley, and this allows crew to move externally along the deck without passing through guest spaces.

Performance & Engine Room

The engine room is accessed from the aft deck, so engineers can enter directly from outside, and that makes day-to-day work easier. Inside, the space is well laid out, with twin MTU 10V2000 M86 engines, each producing 1,360 horsepower.

Top speed is around 16 knots, while cruising speed sits at about 12 knots, and range is roughly 2,500 nautical miles depending on how the yacht is run. Twin generators are installed, one on each side, and systems include fuel transfer valves, air conditioning units and a water maker.

There is full walk-around access to the machinery, as well as a separate emergency exit route up to deck level, and control systems are grouped together so they are easy to monitor. Additional technical spaces aft include power converters, so the yacht can adapt to different shore power systems worldwide.

In Summary

The Benetti 34M Oasis builds the whole yacht around the aft deck, and that beach club is really just the starting point. Everything else follows from that, so the saloon opens into it, the upper deck looks down onto it, and the interior stays light to keep the focus outside.

Rivals to Consider

The Ocean Alexander 35P sits close in size at 35.3m (116ft) with a 7.6m (25ft) beam, but it takes a very different approach, built around a raised pilothouse layout and higher cruising speeds rather than a water-level lifestyle. Power comes from twin MTU 16V2000 M96L engines producing around 2,600hp each, which lifts top speed to about 22 knots and allows a faster cruise around 18 knots, while range sits at roughly 2,000 nautical miles depending on speed. That extra pace changes how the yacht is used, because it is set up to cover ground more quickly, and the internal arrangement reflects that, with a dedicated pilothouse, skylounge and more enclosed saloon spaces. There is a beach club aft, but it follows a conventional format without fold-out terraces, so the connection to the water is not as direct, and the emphasis shifts toward interior volume, long passages and a more traditional superyacht structure.

The Riva 112 Dolcevita Super matches closely on length at 34.37m (112ft) with a narrower 7.27m (23ft 10in) beam, and it moves firmly into the planing yacht category with twin MTU 16V2000 M96L engines at 2,638hp each. That gives a top speed of around 25 knots and a cruising speed near 23 knots, although range drops to roughly 400 nautical miles at that pace, so its operating profile is very different. This is a yacht built for fast runs between destinations, and that carries through into the layout, where the aft cockpit, foredeck lounge and flybridge take priority rather than a dominant beach club. The aft area does include a swim platform and water access, but it is secondary compared to the Benetti’s Oasis deck, while inside the finish leans toward high-gloss woods and tighter detailing, so the atmosphere feels more formal and performance-led rather than relaxed and open.

The Sanlorenzo SX120 stretches larger at 36.9m (121ft) with an 8.0m (26ft 3in) beam, and it comes closest in concept, blending open deck living with higher speeds. Twin MTU 16V2000 M96L engines rated at around 2,434hp each deliver a top speed of approximately 23 knots and a cruise near 20 knots, while range is about 1,600 nautical miles at lower speeds. The aft deck is a key feature here as well, but instead of a fixed beach club with terraces it uses a large open platform with crane handling, so the space can switch between tender storage and leisure use. Internally, the SX120 leans into a more flexible layout with open-plan saloons and split-level arrangements, and that gives it a different feel, less fixed around one signature zone and more adaptable overall. It sits between displacement and planing thinking, so you get speed when needed as well as usable outdoor space, although it does not centre everything around the aft deck in the same way as the Oasis.
