Tenth 37m Moonen 122 Martinique Reaches Hull and Superstructure Milestone

Moonen Yachts has joined the hull and superstructure of YN208, the tenth 122 Martinique yacht, as the speculative-build superyacht moves into outfitting ahead of a scheduled June 2027 delivery.

The milestone of the Moonen 122 Martinique took place at Moonen's shipyard in the Netherlands, several months after the high-tensile steel hull was turned at Talsma Shipyards. With its aluminium superstructure now in place, work can progress through the next phase of construction.

Owner Feedback Changes the Tenth Martinique

While YN208 follows the established Martinique design, Moonen has made a notable change to the owner's accommodation based on feedback gathered from clients across the series.

The main-deck owner's stateroom will now feature separate his-and-hers bathrooms rather than the single en-suite originally planned. According to Moonen, discussions with existing owners highlighted the arrangement as an area worth reconsidering, allowing the yard to introduce it early enough in the yacht's build for it to form part of the underlying layout rather than a later alteration.

The change is particularly relevant for a model now reaching its tenth hull. Instead of leaving the Martinique specification fixed as further yachts enter service, Moonen has continued to adjust individual areas in response to how owners use the superyachts once delivered.

The motor yacht retains the wider specifications of the 122 Martinique, including accommodation for up to 10 guests in five cabins and a reported cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles. Exterior styling is by René van der Velden Yacht Design, naval architecture is by Diana Yacht Design and the interior design is by Vripack.

The Tenth 37m Moonen 122 Martinique is on the market with IYC and Moonen, she is currently asking €27,000,000.

From Lollipop to Hull Ten

Progress on YN208 comes shortly after the eighth Martinique, Lollipop, made her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.

Delivered to American owners in June, the 37.4m yacht gave Moonen one of its most individual Martinique interiors to date. Vripack developed a candy-inspired scheme influenced by the yacht's name, itself taken from Shirley Temple's 1934 song On the Good Ship Lollipop. Murano glass sweets, individually themed guest cabins and a highly personalized selection of materials run throughout the yacht.

The owners arrived at the project after almost a decade cruising aboard a 17m performance catamaran, bringing detailed ideas about how the new yacht would be used. Their brief resulted in substantial personalization across the interior and outdoor areas while the core dimensions and engineering of the Martinique remained established.

Lollipop is the eighth hull in the series and has a 345GT interior, accommodation for 10 guests and a top speed of 17 knots. Her first season included Mediterranean cruising before her Monaco appearance in September.

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the ninth Martinique, YN207, is also progressing toward delivery in 2027. Its hull and superstructure were joined earlier this year, with the yacht subsequently moving into outfitting. The 37.4m yacht is already sold and is due to accommodate 10 guests across five cabins.
