16m Manari 52 Motor Yacht Enters Luxury Performance Market with Successful Sea Trials

Following its debut at the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show, the new Manari 52 has completed its first sea trials off Miami, reaching a top speed of 37 knots and demonstrating a cruising range of up to 400 nautical miles.

The 16-metre Manari yacht was developed in collaboration with Dutch shipyard Mulder and positions the Miami-based brand within the high-performance luxury segment. Manari 52 has been designed around Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, the yacht combines offshore-focused hull design with a minimalist, digitally integrated helm environment.

Sea trials showcase performance ambitions

The yacht testing was carried out in the moderate chop typical of South Florida waters, with conditions deliberately chosen to evaluate the yacht beyond flat-water performance figures. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS D8-800 engines, the Manari 52 achieved a top speed of approximately 37 knots under trial conditions, with an optimal cruising speed between 24 and 26 knots.

The trials took place near Haulover Inlet in winds of 10 to 15 knots and wave heights between 0.8 and 1.2 metres. According to Manari, future engine configurations are expected to increase the platform’s top speed to as much as 47 knots.

Hull design focused on ride quality and efficiency

Developed alongside Dutch shipyard Mulder, which was responsible for the hull design, the Manari 52 was engineered around the Volvo IPS platform from inception. The yacht combines deep-V hull geometry with progressive deadrise and optimised spray rails intended to improve ride comfort, efficiency and overall handling underway.

During testing, the motor yacht reportedly maintained composure through tight turns with minimal heel and little loss of speed, while also absorbing short-period chop cleanly. Fuel consumption figures and the yacht’s 2,500-litre fuel capacity delivered a cruising range of up to 400 nautical miles at optimal speed.

Helm environment prioritises control and usability

The helm station adopts a minimalist and digitally integrated layout focused on visibility, ergonomics and ease of operation. The Volvo Penta IPS system delivered responsive handling at speed while also improving low-speed manoeuvrability through joystick controls in tighter marina environments.

Noise levels at cruising speed reportedly remained between 70 and 74 dB(A), while vibration was reduced through the yacht’s IPS mounting strategy and structural insulation approach. According to the builder, the aim was to create a yacht that feels solid, composed and refined underway.

A new contender in the luxury performance segment

The Manari 52 enters one of the market’s most competitive segments, combining offshore-focused performance with luxury day boating comfort. Rather than positioning itself purely as an express cruiser, the yacht has been designed to balance long-range usability, handling and onboard refinement.

With its first sea trials now complete, the Manari 52 gives the new Miami-based brand an early opportunity to establish itself within the growing high-performance luxury market.
