WATCH: Numarine Launches Second 30XP Hybrid Yacht with Low Noise and Extended Range

Numarine has launched the 31m explorer yacht Tuccini featuring diesel-electric hybrid propulsion and a flexible, comfort-focused design by Can Yalman.

Like her sistership Minella, this Numarine 30 XP features the same technical platform and layout but is distinguished by a more classic white hull and a lighter interior color scheme.

The Numarine 30XP: Efficient and Flexible Explorer

Positioned in the middle of Numarine’s range of yachts from 22 to 47 meters, the 30XP features a raised pilothouse profile and a gross tonnage of 213 GT. Her layout is designed to accommodate a wide range of owner preferences, with generous deck areas and enhanced connectivity to the sea throughout.

The aft beach club is a focal point of the exterior, expanding to 46 square meters with fold-down bulwarks. It also serves as a launch area for watersports and includes a port-side tender garage that fits a 5.65-meter diesel tender. Raising the deck above has created additional lounging space accessible via a few steps from the main saloon.

Further aft, the flybridge is notably spacious for a yacht in this size bracket. It features a bar area and access to forward-facing sunpads, maximizing the available space for outdoor relaxation.

A private balcony connected to the master suite adds another outdoor touch on board the superyacht, creating a tranquil retreat overlooking the water.

Low Noise Levels, High Comfort

On board, the interior is characterized by light tones and subtle contrasts, with white and beige palettes softened by dark accents. Full-height windows in the main saloon open up views of the sea, while sliding doors to starboard and aft extend the space outward.

The master cabin occupies the forward section of the main deck and benefits from both privacy and panoramic views. Four large guest cabins are located on the lower deck, each with en suite facilities and ample natural light.

One of the standout technical features of the 30XP motor yacht is its acoustic performance. Even while cruising at 7 knots, guest cabins remain below 40 decibels (dBA), and the master suite drops to just 38.1dBA - quieter than rainfall. These levels are achieved through Numarine’s partnership with Silent Line, a specialist in onboard sound and vibration management.

Diesel-Electric Hybrid System

This second 30XP features the model’s optional diesel-electric hybrid propulsion setup. Power comes from two electric motors supplied by four 108kW diesel generators, enabling silent, vibration-free cruising at lower speeds. Like the conventional version, the yacht achieves a top speed of 13 knots and cruises at 12 knots, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 8 knots.

Multiple smaller generators allow more precise power control, improving efficiency and reducing noise levels further. Solar panels can also be installed on the hardtop to supplement the power system.

Jack Haines, YachtBuyer's Review Director, stepped aboard the 30XP at her world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival to explore what makes this model stand out from the rest of the Numarine fleet. The 30XP slots neatly between two standout models in Numarine’s Explorer line-up - the entry-level 26XP and the flagship 37XP - both of which have been reviewed extensively by YachtBuyer.

The Numarine 26XP, reviewed as 'exuding strength', offers sharp SUV-inspired styling and a choice of displacement or semi-displacement hulls. Its versatile performance, large-volume interior, and spacious saloon make it ideal for liveaboard cruising, while two excellent staterooms and ample deck space provide surprising luxury at this size.

At the top end, the Numarine 37XP is described as a “formidable” tri-deck crossover with the volume and presence of a 45-meter yacht. With up to seven cabins, a 6,000nm range, and a fully customizable interior, it was built to go the distance. YachtBuyer’s onboard review highlighted its commanding lines, vast salon, and adaptable upper deck - which can become a private owner’s haven or a sociable sky lounge.
