The joining ceremony of the Moonen 122 Martinique took place at Moonen’s shipyard in North Brabant in the southern Netherlands, marking the transition from primary construction to the outfitting stage. Delivery of the 38m superyacht is scheduled for January 2027.
Design Team Behind the Moonen 122 Martinique
The Moonen 122 Martinique is the result of collaboration between several well known Dutch design studios. Exterior styling was created by René van der Velden Yacht Design, while naval architecture is by Diana Yacht Design. Interior design for YN207 has been developed by Vripack Yacht Design.
This unit will be the second yacht in the Martinique series to feature an interior created by Vripack. The design studio has focused on creating a calm and light filled environment throughout the yacht, with large windows and open sightlines that maintain a close visual link to the surrounding sea.
The Martinique is a very strong steel and aluminium build and the design reflects that in the wide-body and high volume spaces, the substantial railings and wide companionways. Nothing is squeezed. It all gives the feeling that you are on a much larger yacht.”
- René van der Velden, exterior designer of the Martinique
The model itself has become one of Moonen’s most established platforms, with multiple yachts already delivered or under construction across the series.
Tailored Features for American Owners
YN207 has been commissioned by American owners who were drawn to the layout flexibility offered by the Martinique platform. Like other yachts in the series, the 345GT vessel is arranged to support both extended cruising and relaxed onboard living.
Accommodation on board the motor yacht is arranged across five staterooms for up to 12 guests. A full beam owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, featuring forward facing windows that bring in natural light and offer uninterrupted views ahead while underway.
The yacht also includes a spacious galley and pantry designed to support extended cruising and full service hospitality on board. Several custom features have been introduced for this particular hull. Among the most visible additions is a Jacuzzi installed on the sundeck, which was requested specifically by the owners. The elevated deck space is intended as a social hub for relaxation and outdoor entertaining during cruising.
Construction Advances at Moonen’s Dutch Shipyard
The marriage of the steel hull and aluminum superstructure marks a major structural milestone in the construction of any yacht. With the primary framework now unified, attention shifts to outfitting and finishing work across the vessel.
Moonen carries out much of this work at its North Brabant facility, which houses a range of specialized departments dedicated to superyacht construction and finishing. The yard includes in house carpentry workshops, metal fabrication areas, mechanical departments, and climate controlled outfitting sheds designed to support precise installation of interior and technical systems.
As outfitting continues on YN207, the yacht will gradually receive its propulsion systems, onboard equipment, interior furnishings, and final detailing before entering the commissioning stage. Sea trials will follow ahead of her scheduled delivery in early 2027.
A Busy Build Program for the Martinique Series
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Moonen currently has three yachts either in build or on order. The Martinique line continues to represent an important part of Moonen’s current order book. The shipyard confirmed the sale of hull nine late last year, with the deal introduced by Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yachting, while Moonen’s global sales representatives Matthew Stone and Richard Gray of IYC represented the yard.
Once delivered, YN207 will join several other yachts from the Martinique series already in operation or nearing completion. The seventh hull, Ad Astra, was delivered in October 2025, while additional units remain under construction. The eighth hull is also progressing through the build cycle, and Moonen has already announced the tenth Martinique, YN208, which is expected to deliver in June 2027.
The 10th Moonen 122 Martinique superyacht is on the market with IYC and Moonen - she is currently asking €27,000,000 and due to be delivered in 2007.
