Delivered in 1995, AquaLibrium 1 is a 40m motor yacht built by Italian shipyard CRN Yachts. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of CRN Yachts, while Walter Franchini Architetto is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • 40m (131.2ft) CRN superyacht
  • Hidden stern tender garage
  • Convertible twin cabin gym
  • Full-beam main deck master
  • 2.3m (7ft 5in) ceilings
  • Extensive marble interiors

Design & Construction

Designed around a steel hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 398 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

AquaLibrium 1 is a 40m (131.2ft) CRN superyacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and the profile reflects a classic raised-pilothouse layout with long deck lines and full-height glazing along the main deck. The bow carries a gentle rake, while the superstructure steps cleanly aft, so the yacht keeps a balanced, traditional stance underway.

Deck space drives the design. The sun deck spans a large footprint with defined zones for dining, seating and sunbathing, and it can be shaded with an awning when needed. Below, the bridge deck runs full walkaround, with twin sunpads forward of the wheelhouse and a partially covered aft section that adds another outdoor lounge and dining area.

The main deck aft continues that flow, with a dedicated al fresco dining space and direct access when stern-to via the passerelle. The curved bulwarks hide twin staircases that link the decks, so movement between levels stays smooth without interrupting guest areas.

The transom keeps a clean look, as the swim platform and tender storage are hidden. A teak-laid flap folds down to reveal the bathing area, while the tender sits athwartships in a stern garage and launches via a beam crane, so the decks remain clear for guest use.

Interior Design

The interior, designed by Walter Franchini, leans into a classical style with a strong use of curves and rich materials, so there are very few straight lines across the spaces. Ceiling heights reach up to 2.30m (7ft 5in), and large windows run along the main and upper decks, bringing in steady natural light and wide sea views.

Materials carry weight and texture. Teak appears across the brighter upper decks, while the lower deck uses lighter oak tones, shoji-style screens and mirrored surfaces to lift the sense of space. Marble is used extensively across floors, bathrooms and surfaces, adding both visual weight and a distinct finish that was not possible on the owner’s earlier lightweight yachts.

The main saloon sits as a central social space with full-height windows and curved glass doors opening aft. The dining setup adapts between two smaller tables and a single large arrangement for formal use, while entertainment systems are built into the structure to keep surfaces clean.

Above, the upper saloon takes a more relaxed role with open views and direct access to the aft deck, and it connects to a marble-clad pantry that allows informal service without relying on the main galley below.

Accommodation

AquaLibrium 1 accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins. The main deck master suite sits forward and spans the full beam, with a circular layout, a centreline king-size bed, walk-in wardrobes and his-and-hers bathrooms finished in marble.

On the lower deck, the guest layout includes a full-beam VIP suite, a double cabin and two twin cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. One twin includes a Pullman berth for added flexibility, while the other can convert into a gym space, so the layout adapts depending on how the yacht is used.

Crew areas for 6 are separated from guest spaces, with the main galley located on the lower deck to free up volume on the main deck. The bridge deck also includes a captain’s cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse, along with a dedicated radio room, so operational areas remain close to the helm.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Deutz (MWM TBD604B V16) 2,598hp engines, motor yacht AquaLibrium 1 is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 68,200 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,100 nautical miles at 12 knots.
