Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.35m beam and a 1.9m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 113 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in November 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
Astrimare II is based on the Sanlorenzo SL86, a model known for its clean proportions and understated styling, but this 2024 example pairs those qualities with a notably extensive upgrade specification. Designed by Zuccon International Project, the yacht combines a deep-V hull with a sleek planing profile capable of 32 knots, while maintaining the restrained design language that has become a hallmark of the Sanlorenzo range.
The profile is defined by a long, uninterrupted band of glazing running through the main deck, visually lowering the superstructure and emphasising the yacht's length. Beneath it, the SL86's distinctive cutaway sheerline follows the shape of the saloon windows, reducing the visual mass of the hull while also improving sea views from inside. The result is a yacht that looks noticeably lighter than many competitors in the sub-30m segment.
The flybridge is one of the largest in this class, extending beneath a hardtop fitted with an electric louvered roof. This allows the deck to shift between full shade and open sun depending on conditions. Custom Paola Lenti seating, Minotti tables, a wet bar, additional refrigeration and flexible lounge areas create a social space that functions as a second outdoor living room rather than simply an upper helm deck.
Forward, the bow is arranged as a private retreat with sunpads, seating and removable awnings. The elevated position and deep bulwarks create a sheltered environment underway and at anchor. A teak finish has been specified throughout the exterior deck areas, including the bow lounge and flybridge, adding warmth to the otherwise contemporary design.
At water level, a hydraulic bathing platform rated to 550kg handles the included Williams SportJet 435 tender while also serving as a swimming platform. Underwater lighting on both the stern and hull sides enhances the yacht's appearance after dark.
Interior Design
The interior of Astrimare II demonstrates how far a production platform can be personalised when an owner approaches the project with a clear vision. Rather than relying on a standard shipyard package, this yacht incorporates a carefully curated selection of furniture, fabrics and finishes from some of Italy's best-known luxury brands.
Large side windows flood the main deck with natural light, making the saloon feel unusually open for an 81GT yacht. The use of striped tobacco wood across walls, cabinetry and doors creates visual continuity throughout the interior while maintaining the clean architectural lines associated with Sanlorenzo.
The saloon centres around a Minotti Andersen Slim sofa and Minotti marble-topped coffee table, while a custom Mesa 2 dining table with a crystal top anchors the dining space. Poltrona Frau dining chairs, Loro Piana fabrics, Pierre Frey textiles, Dedar finishes and Mastrotto leathers create a layered palette that feels residential rather than overtly nautical.
Wood flooring throughout the saloon gives the interior a more contemporary character than the carpeted arrangements often found aboard yachts of this size. Electric decorative and blackout curtains provide flexibility throughout the accommodation spaces, while carefully integrated entertainment systems remain largely hidden from view.
Accommodation
Astrimare II accommodates eight guests across four ensuite cabins and carries four crew in two crew cabins.
The full-beam owner's suite occupies the prime position on the lower deck and benefits from the same elevated specification found throughout the yacht. Minotti furnishings, Loro Piana fabrics, Pierre Frey textiles, Dedar finishes and Mastrotto leather details create a highly tailored environment. A television concealed behind a Stopsol mirror preserves clean sightlines when not in use, while Silk Georgette marble elevates the owner's bathroom beyond standard production-yacht finishes.
The VIP cabin sits forward and includes its own ensuite bathroom and concealed television installation. Two further guest cabins comprise a double cabin and a twin cabin, giving the layout flexibility for families or mixed guest groups.
Crew accommodation is arranged aft with two cabins providing four berths, together with dedicated laundry facilities, crew service areas and a separate crew bathroom. This arrangement allows efficient service while maintaining guest privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (D2862 LE486) 2,000hp engines, motor yacht Astrimare II is capable of reaching a top speed of 32 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
