More Details

Magic of Ayr is a 27.96m open yacht for sale delivered by Italian shipyard Pershing in 2021. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Fulvio de Simoni, while Ferretti Group Engineering Department is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Triple sunpad outdoor lounging zones
  • Pop-up flybridge helm console
  • Carbon-fibre pole sunshade system
  • Integrated galley and laundry below

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.23m beam and a 1.65m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 115 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the eleventh yacht built on the Pershing 9X design. She was delivered to her owners in July 2021.

Exterior Design

Magic of Ayr is part of the Pershing 9X series, built in carbon composite with exterior styling by Fulvio De Simoni and naval architecture by the Ferretti Group's engineering team. The hull is finished in metallic silver, complementing the sculpted superstructure and characteristic glazing that runs along the hull sides.

At the aft, a generous sunpad sits just behind an al fresco dining table, creating a sociable space that also provides a great vantage point while underway. Shade can be added using carbon-fibre poles and removable awnings, offering flexibility when anchored in warmer climates. A drawer fridge built into the seating area adds extra convenience for guests spending time outdoors.

The foredeck is arranged with another large sunpad and a forward-facing seating area with a table. Twin anchor windlasses are mounted ahead, ensuring functionality without interrupting the clean aesthetic of the bow.

Up top, the flybridge is accessed via two staircases, one from the cockpit to port and another from inside the saloon on the starboard side. The deck includes a wide central sunpad, with bench seating and a pair of tables positioned aft beneath the radar arch. A secondary helm station is fitted with three helm seats and a retractable control console, which can be lowered to maintain clean lines when not in use. This upper helm offers useful visibility for docking and close-quarters handling, as well as a comfortable space to helm in open-air conditions.

At the stern, the tender garage is built into the transom and designed to hold a tender and potentially a jet ski, depending on configuration.

Magic of Ayr’s flybridge seating wraps around twin tables, creating a casual outdoor living zone above deck.

Interior Design

Inside, the main deck features an open-plan layout that connects the saloon and dining area, framed by large windows that allow light into the space. The overall feel is modern and relaxed, with comfortable seating and a muted material palette that reflects the yacht’s performance-led character.

Forward of the saloon, the main helm station features a three-seat arrangement with wide forward visibility. The helm is fitted with multifunction displays and controls for the Arneson drives and trim tabs, as well as a detailed systems display showing tank levels, navigation data, and other onboard diagnostics. The design is ergonomic and clean, with thoughtful touches such as drop-down footrests.

Retractable glass doors connect the saloon to the aft cockpit, while windows can be opened to let fresh air through when at anchor. The layout supports socialising across both interior and exterior spaces while keeping service areas discreet and separate.

The galley is located on the lower deck near the crew area. Though compact compared to larger yachts, it’s well-equipped with Miele appliances, an ice maker, wine cooler, and dedicated storage for glassware and bottles. Laundry facilities are also integrated into this space, supporting longer cruising or charter schedules.

Accommodation

Accommodation for up to nine guests is located on the lower deck, split across four cabins. These include three doubles and one twin cabin fitted with an additional Pullman berth. The full-beam owner’s suite sits amidships and benefits from large hull windows, each fitted with an opening port for ventilation when at anchor. Storage is generous, with built-in wardrobes and additional cabinetry throughout.

The VIP guest cabin adopts a slightly angled bed layout, creating more usable space and a distinctive feel. It includes a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. The two remaining guest cabins also have ensuite shower rooms, with one feeling marginally more spacious than the other. All are equipped with AV systems and hanging lockers.

Crew accommodation for three is located aft of the guest area and just forward of the engine room. The layout includes one twin-bunk cabin and a single cabin, each with its own bathroom. Access is provided via a separate entrance from the deck, helping to keep guest and crew movements clearly divided.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 16-cylinder 2,638hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Magic of Ayr is capable of reaching a top speed of 42 knots, and comfortably cruises at 38 knots. With her 9,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 380 nautical miles. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

The lower deck of Magic of Ayr houses a galley, laundry, and crew quarters in a practical working hub.
