  • Curved glass doors
  • Full-beam beach club with galley
  • Triple-aspect windows in master suite
  • Separate bow and stern lounging areas

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.05m beam and a 2.28m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 454 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2008. This was the first yacht built on the Crystal 140' design. Launched in December 2010 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in April 2011.

Exterior Design

t 41.93m (137'7"), My Johanna belongs to the Benetti Crystal series - a GRP-built, full-displacement yacht designed with a strong emphasis on outdoor living and easy access to the sea. While she shares a similar profile with the Vision 145, her lines are softer, giving her a more relaxed and refined appearance. The design avoids the upright windows seen on her larger sister, instead favouring gentler curves and rounded forms that soften the overall look.

The exterior styling is the work of Stefano Righini, who prioritised connection to the sea across all decks. Large profile cut-outs bring natural light into the interior, while spacious deck areas make full use of the yacht’s generous beam. Her layout features four full decks, and particular attention has been given to outdoor guest areas across all levels.

The sun deck is equipped for both full-sun and shaded lounging, thanks to a large retractable awning that extends over a generous seating and dining setup. On the upper deck, the aft dining table sits behind curved glass doors. These can be opened for alfresco meals or closed to maintain air conditioning comfort without blocking the view. The bridge deck, like the rest of the yacht, favours an open feel with wide views out across the ocean.

At the stern, the design breaks from convention. Instead of a traditional lazarette or tender garage, this area has been transformed into a dedicated beach club, with sun loungers, a shower, and even kitchen facilities - all geared towards relaxed waterfront living. Tenders and water toys are housed forward and launched from the side, freeing up the entire aft area for guest enjoyment. Separate seating areas at the bow and stern provide flexibility for families or groups looking to spread out and enjoy different surroundings.

Completing the traditional exterior aesthetic, the owners opted for a funnel-style structure in place of the usual radar arch. It supports all modern communication and navigation systems but adds a classic nod to heritage styling in keeping with the yacht’s character.

My Johanna’s funnel-style mast is both a design nod and a fully functional communications hub.

Interior Design

Inside, the interior style follows a traditional approach with a warm, tropical character. François Zuretti led the interior design, guided by the owner's vision of creating a yacht that felt like a natural extension of home. The décor blends creamy tones and soft blues with rich woodwork and satin finishes, set against wide-plank cabreuva wood flooring chosen specifically for its aromatic quality and hand-rubbed appearance.

The layout encourages social living while keeping private areas discreetly separated. The main saloon sits just aft of the galley and includes a full mahogany bar near the aft doors, positioned for convenient service between interior and exterior spaces. This deck serves as a central hub for both formal and informal gatherings.

Upstairs, the upper deck lounge is arranged with casual seating and views outward across the sea. A sliding glass partition can be used to separate this space from the aft dining area, keeping the lounge cool and climate-controlled if needed, without blocking the view or sense of openness.

Technical systems onboard are operated via Benetti’s Exclusive Sea Technology (BEST) platform, which integrates entertainment, lighting, and electrical controls. This includes a modern bridge control system - the second of its kind fitted by Benetti - located forward, designed for efficiency and clarity in navigation.

Noise and vibration insulation has been handled with particular care. During testing, guests reportedly failed to notice when the yacht got underway, thanks to improvements in engine room insulation and layout.

Accommodation

Accommodation aboard My Johanna is arranged for up to 10 guests across five staterooms, with dedicated quarters for a crew of up to seven.

The master suite is positioned forward on the main deck, accessed via a private starboard-side corridor past a small office. Once inside, the full-beam cabin enjoys sea views from three sides. Though structural requirements mean the windows are not seamless panes, the wraparound outlook still feels open and striking. The suite also benefits from generous space, and its location offers excellent privacy away from guest activity elsewhere onboard.

On the lower deck, four guest cabins are arranged in the space made available by Benetti’s revised engine room footprint. The result is a spacious and well-balanced accommodation area, with reduced noise and vibration thanks to the upgraded layout and insulation systems.

Crew accommodation supports a complement of seven and is arranged separately to maintain service efficiency and discretion.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 12-cylinder 1,450hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht My Johanna is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 58,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Step aboard My Johanna, and the first thing you see is a welcoming mahogany bar built for easy hosting.
