The 60m expedition yacht Sanlorenzo 1150EXP is being constructed by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo and is due to be delivered in 2027. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Zuccon, while Sanlorenzo is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.2m beam. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,150 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Stretching over 60 metres (196.9ft) in length with a beam of 11.2 metres (36.7ft), the Sanlorenzo 1150EXP marks the largest explorer yacht in the yard’s history. Designed by Zuccon International Project, this new flagship carries between 1,150 and 1,200 gross tons and introduces several structural firsts for Sanlorenzo.

Her profile is spread across five full decks, with a distinctive focus on privacy and long-range practicality. A helipad is built into the foredeck for touch-and-go landings, while a recessed 7.5-tonne crane at the stern can lift and store a chase boat over 10 metres (32.8ft) in length. The main tender, a 7.5-metre (24.6ft) craft, is housed forward in a dedicated garage beneath the heli-deck, alongside other water toys.

At water level, the aft lower deck transforms into a full beach club, complete with spa facilities and fold-out terraces for a direct connection to the sea. Directly above, the quarterdeck hosts a glass-bottomed pool that channels natural light down into the beach club below, tying the levels together.

Interior Design

Four of the five decks are connected by a glass elevator, ensuring ease of movement throughout the vessel. The main deck is entirely devoted to guest enjoyment, combining indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces with a formal dining area.

Accommodation

Accommodation on board is arranged for up to 14 guests, with a flexible configuration of six or seven staterooms. The standout feature is the master residence, which spans two private upper decks, creating a secluded, apartment-like retreat with elevated views and full access to the yacht’s vertical core via the elevator.

Guest cabins are distributed across the lower decks, offering well-separated quarters with their own en suite facilities. Crew accommodation is equally generous, with berths for up to15 crew members to support extended cruising or full charter operations.

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M63) 2,011hp engines, motor yacht Sanlorenzo 1150EXP is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots.
