58m Abeking & Rasmussen Motor Yacht Amaral Sold

The 58m superyacht Amaral has been sold, with Rytis Babravicius of Ocean Independence introducing the buyer while Matt Ruane of Cecil Wright handled the sale in collaboration with Merle Wood of Merle Wood & Associates.

Delivered in 2007 by German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, the yacht features exterior styling and interior design by Donald Starkey, with naval architecture developed in-house by the builder.

The interior spaces of Amaral were developed by Donald Starkey with interiors built by Rodiek Interiors. The design centers on warm materials and traditional craftsmanship, with extensive use of Makasa dark wood and Japanese ash creating a rich and consistent palette throughout the yacht.

The main salon forms the central gathering area on board. Furnished with generous seating and finished with glossy wood surfaces, the space leads directly into the formal dining room, which can be separated by pocket doors for added privacy. The dining area seats up to 12 guests and features an onyx bar with decorative inlay work that adds visual depth to the room.

One notable aspect of the motor yacht’s construction is that the entire interior was prefabricated before installation. Each section was produced with millimetre-level accuracy and then fitted into the structure once the decks and bulkheads had been laser measured, a process that required careful planning during the build stage.

The yacht’s layout spreads across three decks, each providing outdoor areas dedicated to dining, relaxation, and waterside activities. At the stern, the beach club creates a direct connection to the sea and serves as a launch point for water toys and tenders. The platform can store four jet skis alongside a Nautica tender, with launch operations designed to be completed within around 20 minutes.

Accommodation on board Amaral is arranged for up to 12 guests across six cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite stands out as the largest private space on the yacht and includes a king-size bed, private office, and a spacious bathroom with separate sections for his and hers use.
