Built in 1991, the 1,150 GT motor yacht features exterior design by Martin Francis, interiors originally developed by François Zuretti working with Francis Design, and naval architecture by Blohm+Voss.
Originally launched as Eco, Zeus later sailed under the names Katana and Enigma before receiving her current name. The yacht for sale became particularly notable for a brief centered on speed, extensive glazing and unconventional engineering at a time when yachts of this scale were generally much slower.
Her 74.5m length is paired with an 11.2m beam and a gross tonnage of 1,150 GT. The steel hull supports a GRP superstructure, while the distinctive exterior remains defined by a series of large convex windows conceived by Martin Francis. YachtBuyer records that their design was influenced by curved windows seen on Parisian buses and intended to reduce reflections from inside the yacht.
François Zuretti worked on the original interiors alongside Francis Design, with the project becoming an early milestone in his yacht-design career. The original scheme drew inspiration from the Art Deco interiors of La Mamounia hotel in Marrakech.
Large areas of glazing remain central to the onboard experience. The main guest spaces include a main lounge with dining facilities and a separate panoramic lounge, while the curved windows of the motor yacht for sale bring natural light into the interior. A glass-walled gym overlooking the aft deck is another established feature.
The yacht has continued to receive updates. The current brokerage listing records new guest-area carpets, leatherwork, stone restoration and audiovisual improvements completed in 2025. Navigation and communication equipment on the bridge was also comprehensively upgraded during the same year.
Exterior amenities include sun decks, an upper observation salon and a starboard-side bathing platform. A basketball court occupies the aft deck, replacing facilities once used to carry a seaplane during the yacht's earlier life as Eco.
Zeus offers six guest cabins, with the upper deck largely allocated to the owner. The owner's suite benefits from approximately 180-degree views through the yacht's curved glazing, alongside a dressing area and two bathrooms. Five further guest cabins are positioned on the main deck, including a VIP suite. Current brokerage information lists accommodation for up to 14 guests, while YachtBuyer currently records a conventional 12-guest arrangement across the same six cabins. Crew accommodation is provided for up to 21.
Performance remains one of the yacht's defining technical characteristics. Twin 5,000hp Deutz diesel engines power two wing waterjets, while an 18,500hp General Electric LM1600 gas turbine drives the central booster jet. Combined output is approximately 28,500hp.
Zeus was also the first superyacht fitted with an underwater hydrofoil of this type, designed to generate additional lift at the stern and help control trim at high speed. The arrangement contributed to performance that was unusual for a yacht measuring almost 75m when she entered service. The current listing quotes a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots. At a more economical 12 knots, Zeus has an advertised range of approximately 3,900 nautical miles
