Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 48'7" beam and a 12'8" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 2,851 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in early 2016 with the keel laid under the project name 'Sasha'. Launched in August 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2017.

Exterior Design

Gigia stands out with a striking navy blue hull and a gleaming white superstructure, a timeless pairing that gives her a calm, distinguished presence. Her lines are elegant yet purposeful, reflecting a balance between aesthetics and utility. The exterior was shaped under the direction of Andreas Iseli from Winch Design, and the styling is closely aligned with the interior concept, creating a strong sense of visual continuity.

Across her decks, Gigia offers a wide variety of outdoor spaces designed to be both functional and inviting. The aft deck on the main level serves as one of the yacht’s key social areas, with a sculpted curved bar and ample sofa-style seating. Glass doors can slide away to link this shaded area directly with the main lounge inside, creating a large indoor-outdoor flow for entertaining.

Above, the bridge deck is cleverly split between guest use and technical or crew zones. This level features a gym with excellent aft views, alongside a 12-person spa pool and generous sunpad space. A partial overhang offers shade, while an open stairway on the port side leads to the sundeck. Here, loungers, a vast forward-facing sunpad, and a sofa create a relaxing spot to take in the view, especially when approaching a harbor.

Forward on the bridge deck sits a certified helideck, usable both day and night. Its slightly elevated position also acts as a windbreak for the outdoor seating area tied to the owner’s suite. Beneath the helideck lies a concealed tender garage, keeping equipment out of sight but easily accessible.

Further aft, the lower deck opens out to the sea through a fold-down transom. This area, a combination of beach club and wet lounge, uses oiled teak flooring to bridge the transition between inside and out. A set of integrated steps leads directly into the water, making it a well-designed space for easy swimming access and relaxation by the sea.

Gigia brings serious lifestyle focus with a spa designed for athletes and adventurers alike.

Interior Design

Gigia’s interior takes a refined “American Classic” style approach. Designed by Andrew Winch, the space draws on influences from traditional Midwestern architecture with a nautical sensibility. Rich makore wood joinery features throughout, accented by detailed mouldings and a custom balustrade with turned wooden spindles, particularly prominent in the staircase to the owner’s quarters.

The color palette is calm and neutral, with soft creams and taupes forming the base. Carefully selected artworks, curated by an American adviser, introduce subtle accent tones that echo throughout the spaces.

Social areas are spacious and welcoming. On the main deck, guests are greeted by a casual lounge area with a curved bar - complete with beer tap - and deep sofa seating. This connects fluidly to a formal lounge and dining room. A baby grand piano adds a musical touch, while the dining area comfortably seats 18 for meals or events.

The yacht places significant emphasis on wellness. Gigia includes a spa complex designed with an athletic focus, referencing the yacht’s connection to professional sports. This includes a 5.7 square meter steam room, an 8 square meter sauna, and a 20 square meter mosaic-tiled lobby that links the spaces. There’s also a 12-person indoor spa pool, two hydrotherapy showers, a massage room, and a hair salon.

On the lower deck, the relaxation area connects to the wet lounge and beach club, forming a tranquil retreat. A standout feature here is a handcrafted rose mosaic by Serbian artist Andjelka Radojevic, located in the wet zone. The spa lobby includes a striking glass display case for eight bicycles and four Segways, a nod to the yacht’s sporting pedigree.

Accommodation

Gigia was originally designed with the needs of a professional cycling team in mind, and the result is a layout that comfortably accommodates up to 22 people across owner, guest, and staff quarters. Each guest cabin has been designed for versatility and comfort, with configurations that can switch between twin and king-sized beds depending on the requirements.

Support comes from a highly capable crew of 28, with dedicated facilities to ensure smooth service across all areas of the yacht. The layout adheres to Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) regulations, including eight emergency escape hatches and four separate stairways on the main deck alone, prioritising safety for guests and crew alike.
