Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.3m beam and a 3.6m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 2,175 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2022. This was the first yacht built on the Amels 80 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Amels' Damen Shipyard Galati yard in Romania where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
The 80-metre Pangea represents a new chapter in large yacht design, introduced as the first hull in the Amels 80 Limited Editions range. With a clean, modern profile by Espen Øino, the exterior design balances sharp lines with a sense of calm presence on the water. Her styling speaks to both strength and subtlety, aiming for enduring elegance rather than fleeting trends.
The 200 square metre sun deck is the largest in its class and has been laid out with versatility in mind. At its centre is a large jacuzzi, flanked by sun loungers and sheltered by sliding glass panels at the forward end - ideal for relaxing while underway. The space transitions easily between daytime lounging and evening entertaining.
At the bow, a certified helipad supports touch-and-go operations for aircraft up to 4,000 kg, while a second jacuzzi provides a quieter spot for soaking with panoramic views. Underway, the yacht draws on a hybrid propulsion system that supports multiple cruising modes for efficient, low-impact operation. This design choice brings together engineering precision with a growing focus on sustainable cruising.
The hull features distinctive custom paintwork, making Pangea instantly recognisable even from a distance. Throughout the exterior, form follows function - but never at the expense of style.
Interior Design
Inside, Pangea presents a calm, refined interior by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, marking their first collaboration with Amels. A neutral, natural palette runs throughout, creating a soft and welcoming feel. Materials have been carefully chosen for both their tactile qualities and quiet sophistication, with a focus on flowing transitions between spaces.
The Main Saloon offers a generous, informal space for entertaining or relaxing, with lounge seating arranged for conversation and comfort. Further aft, the Beach Lounge opens on three sides to connect the interior with the ocean. This area also includes a surround-sound cinema system, and can be adapted for a variety of moods - from breezy, open-air relaxation to a more enclosed, private setting.
Forward from this space lies a full wellness centre, including a gym, hammam, sauna, and massage area. The atmosphere here is tailored for wellbeing, combining practical facilities with a spa-like feel. Whether guests are after a full workout or a place to unwind, this area meets both with equal poise.
Every interior detail has been shaped to create a sense of home on board - relaxed, elegant, and grounded in long-lasting design.
Accommodation
Pangea accommodates up to 14 guests across seven suites. The owner’s suite is positioned on a dedicated private deck of 517 square metres, offering expansive space and uninterrupted privacy. This personal deck is one of the defining features of the yacht, combining comfort, panoramic views, and direct access to outdoor areas.
Six additional guest suites are located on the Main Deck, each with large windows that bring in natural light and sea views. Among these is a VIP suite with a flexible layout that can be configured to suit individual needs, whether as a private apartment or connected family space.
A full crew of 21 is housed in comfortable staff quarters, ensuring that every detail of life on board is handled with efficiency and discretion.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516E) 2,816hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Pangea is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 210,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
