Delivered in 2014, Coal Blooded is a 92' open yacht built by Italian shipyard Pershing. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Fulvio de Simoni.
Key Features
- Hydraulic swim platform
- Minimalist flybridge helm
- 43-knot top speed
- Open-plan main deck
Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 20'5" beam and a 5'5" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 81 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the eighth yacht built on the Pershing 92 design.
Exterior Design
With its sharp profile and minimalist flybridge, Coal Blooded leans fully into the sleek, performance-driven aesthetic Pershing is known for. Built in 2014 and measuring 28 meters (92ft) in length with a beam of 6.2 meters (20ft 5in) and a draft of 1.65 meters (5ft 5in), this fast cruiser carries striking lines that echo its high-performance capabilities. The hull received a full repaint in 2022, giving it a fresh, bold finish that matches its sporty character.
The yacht’s exterior layout includes an expansive aft deck, which features a large sunpad situated above the tender garage and a generous alfresco dining space tucked beneath the flybridge overhang. This area is flanked by storage and catering stations on both sides, while the sliding glass doors create an open connection to the main salon. Below, the hydraulic swim platform lowers into the water, providing easy access to launch and recover the tender stored within the garage.
At the bow, the foredeck serves as a relaxed social spot, with U-shaped seating and a convertible table just ahead of the forward sunpads. The low-profile railing maintains the yacht’s streamlined look while still offering practical support on deck. Anchoring gear, dual winches, and bollards are neatly integrated at the very front.
Up top, the compact flybridge stays true to the yacht’s silhouette. There’s another wraparound seating area with a convertible table and a movable backrest bench that faces forward or aft. A concealed helm station with full controls, including steering, throttles, and bow and stern thrusters, gives the captain a commanding view when underway. The open-top design reinforces the yacht’s commitment to clean lines and raw performance over bulkier structures.
Interior Design
Inside, Coal Blooded offers a wide, open-plan layout that seamlessly flows from the main salon through to the helm, creating a single social volume under one sleek roofline. Large sliding glass doors open onto the aft deck, bringing natural light into the salon, which features an L-shaped sofa, a pop-up television, and integrated storage. A built-in bar area with three stools, an ice maker, fridge, and sink is positioned just behind the helm.
The styling throughout is contemporary, with polished surfaces, light fabrics, and a layout that feels purpose-built for fast cruising. Side doors on both port and starboard connect the interior to the deck, enhancing the flow throughout the main level. Forward, the helm station is integrated into the open-plan layout with three sporty helm chairs and a full suite of navigation and engine controls housed in a wraparound console. A compact desk space sits just behind.
Down a separate staircase, the galley and crew area are housed on a lower level. The galley is equipped with a full-size fridge and freezer, cooktop, oven, sink, dishwasher, and laundry facilities. There’s also a small crew mess tucked into this section, with two crew cabins on either side, each with bunks and access to a shared wet-room style bathroom. Engine room access is located nearby, making it a practical workspace for the crew.
Accommodation
Guest accommodation is located on the lower deck and includes four en-suite staterooms, providing space for up to eight guests - or 10 when using Pullman berths. The owner’s suite sits amidships and spans the full beam, offering generous volume and natural light through large hull windows. This cabin includes a private lounge space, built-in storage, and an en-suite bathroom with a mosaic-tiled rainfall shower, a single vanity, and both toilet and bidet. A second toilet is also located within the suite. Blue LED lighting in the en-suite automatically activates when entered, adding a contemporary touch.
Forward, the VIP cabin features a double bed set at an angle, a wall-mounted television, settee, and a full-height wardrobe with built-in safe and AV storage. Overhead and side portholes provide natural ventilation and light. The en-suite bathroom here mirrors the design of the others, with rainfall shower and mosaic detailing.
Two further twin guest cabins are positioned off the central corridor. Each has side-by-side single beds and an additional Pullman berth, enabling either room to sleep up to three. Quilted wall panels and coordinating headboards give these rooms a tactile, well-finished feel. Each cabin includes its own en-suite bathroom.
The crew quarters, located off the galley, provide accommodation for four crew members in two cabins with bunk beds, a shared wet-room, and a crew mess area.
