Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 15.4m beam. The yacht has an internal volume of 4,018 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Project Ziggy is a 101.4m (332.7ft) full-custom Lürssen designed in collaboration with Harrison Eidsgaard. Even at technical launch stage, before fairing and final paintwork, the yacht already reveals an sculptural profile built around layered terraces, angular overhangs and deep architectural recesses.

The overall form balances huge internal volume with surprisingly lean visual proportions. Rather than stacking decks vertically, the design breaks the mass into tapering horizontal layers that step upward toward a faceted upper structure.

The hull itself is muscular and high-sided, with a near-plumb bow and long expanses of uninterrupted steelwork giving the yacht a powerful stance. The deck lines avoid flat horizontal planes. Each level subtly tapers as it moves aft, creating stronger shadow lines and helping the yacht appear less bulky than many vessels over 100 metres. The upper decks almost resemble overlapping wings, with offset sections that introduce movement into the silhouette.

The stern is one of the most distinctive elements of the design. Massive buttressed outer structures sweep downward toward the swim platform, framing a deeply recessed beach club area that appears carved directly into the hull. Twin staircases descend toward the water on either side, reinforcing the amphitheatre-like arrangement of the aft decks.

Above the beach club sits a sheltered central social zone recessed into the aft main deck. The launch photos already suggest a large pool and lounge area positioned close to the waterline and protected on three sides from wind and exposure. Higher aft decks extend nearly full beam, creating huge private exterior guest spaces with very little wasted circulation area.

Glass is central to the yacht’s appearance. Even unfinished, the scale of the glazing is obvious, with long horizontal window bands stretching across multiple decks and large floor-to-ceiling sections visible aft. These darkened surfaces break up the yacht’s scale while strengthening the connection between interior and exterior areas.

At the top of the yacht, the mast structure becomes part of the architecture itself rather than appearing as separate equipment mounted above the decks. Angular surfaces and asymmetrical shaping give the uppermost levels a crystalline appearance that completes the yacht’s sharp-edged design language.
