82m Bilgin Flagship Superyacht Project Bond Sold at 2026 PBIBS

Bilgin Yachts has confirmed the sale of its new 82m flagship superyacht Project Bond, unveiled during the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show, with delivery details to follow.

The new Bilgin yacht is designed by Emrecan Özgün of Unique Yacht Design, responsible for both exterior styling and naval architecture, with interiors by Jonny Horsfield of H2 Yacht Design.

Project Bond has been conceived around a strong emphasis on light, openness, and connection to the surrounding environment. Bilgin describes an interior shaped by expansive glazing, with floor-to-ceiling windows intended to dissolve the boundary between interior spaces and the sea. This approach is expected to create a more immersive onboard experience, where natural light plays a defining role throughout the yacht.

A key aspect of the interior lies in the personal involvement of Jeanette Staluppi, whose vision is set to influence both the layout and overall atmosphere. Her input is expected to guide how spaces are used day to day, giving the yacht a more tailored feel that reflects the owner’s lifestyle rather than a purely design-led concept. This level of owner participation aligns with Bilgin’s broader focus on customization within its flagship projects.

A defining characteristic of the yacht is its focus on openness, not only internally but across exterior deck spaces. The design prioritizes clear sightlines and continuity between indoor and outdoor areas, reinforcing the connection to the sea that underpins the overall concept.

As Bilgin’s largest motor yacht to date, Project Bond also reflects the shipyard’s continued move into the upper tier of custom superyacht construction. The platform has been developed to support both long-range cruising and owner-specific customization, positioning it as a flagship in both size and intent.

Project Bond is expected to offer substantial internal volume, with a gross tonnage of approximately 2,150 GT. This positions the yacht among the larger custom builds in her class, with the capacity to support expansive guest areas and crew operations.

The project also carries a strong personal narrative. Owner John Staluppi, who has owned 18 yachts, has consistently named them after James Bond films, a tradition that began in childhood. In that context, the name Bond represents a natural continuation of that story, bringing a recognizable identity to Bilgin’s flagship platform.

Project Bond has been engineered with a clear focus on versatility, particularly for the American market. One of the defining technical features is her relatively shallow draft of 3.60 meters, enabling access to a wider range of harbors and cruising grounds, including those along the US East Coast.

Power comes from twin MTU 16V 4000 M73 engines, delivering a combined output of 2 x 2,560 kW. This setup supports a top speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, aligning performance with long-distance capability.

At economical speeds, the yacht is expected to achieve a range of over 5,000 nautical miles, supported by a fuel capacity of 195,000 liters. This places Project Bond firmly in the long-range cruising category, capable of transatlantic passages while maintaining onboard comfort. Project Bond's last known asking price is unknown.
