Delivered in 2014 and refitted in 2024, this all-aluminum custom Feadship was brought to life by a collaboration between Dubois Naval Architects and interior design studio RWD. Built for experienced yachtsman Neville Crichton, the project broke new ground in its use of structural glass and distinctive design.
Inside, the yacht for sale features a restrained, masculine interior scheme defined by scrubbed oak joinery, Macassar cabinetry, and stainless steel accents. The atmosphere throughout is calm and composed, with natural fabrics softening the aesthetic. The main saloon adapts between formal dining and relaxed entertainment thanks to a rotating central seating platform. A standout feature is the mirrored staircase, built from white Thassos marble and polished steel, which draws light through the decks while adding a sculptural presence.
The exterior styling by Dubois features a raised pilothouse layout and a whaleback sheer line that enhances both visual identity and seakeeping. Key to the yacht’s look and experience is the unprecedented use of load-bearing glass. The glass is mounted on top of the metal superstructure rather than inset, resulting in clean lines and panoramic views from within.
Five vertically rising glass panels enclose the sun deck on demand, creating a protected space without sacrificing openness. Practical touches include an extended forward bow to reduce spray and refined detailing across the exterior helm and deck spaces.
The motor yacht for sale accommodates 10 guests across five cabins, with a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck. Below, there are two double cabins and two twins. Eight crew are housed in four cabins, including a captain’s cabin, ensuring smooth operations.
With twin Caterpillar C32 engines producing a combined 3,800hp, Excellence V reaches top speeds of 19 knots and cruises comfortably at 15 knots. At cruising speed, she has a range of 3,000 nautical miles. Her semi-displacement hull strikes a balance between speed and volume, while stabilizers provide comfort both at anchor and underway.
Excellence V received major accolades at the ShowBoats Design Awards, winning for both her interior and exterior design, and was also honored at the World Superyacht Awards and International Superyacht Society Awards for her standout naval architecture and performance in the 40m–65m category.
