Designed by Omega Architects for the exterior, Luca Dini Design & Architecture for the interior, and Van Oossanen Naval Architects for naval architecture, the Heesen 55m Steel yacht brings together Dutch engineering with a tailored, owner-focused finish.
Frida’s interiors, developed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture with lead architect Silvia Margutti, are being refined in close collaboration with Heesen’s in-house team to align with the new owner’s lifestyle. The design of the yacht takes a modern approach to traditional maritime styling, using dark wengé wood contrasted against lighter tones to create depth and visual clarity throughout the living spaces.
Select areas on board have been planned to house a curated contemporary art collection, adding a personal layer to the yacht’s atmosphere. This direction builds on the studio’s intent to balance classic nautical references with a more current residential feel. With a gross tonnage of approximately 760 GT, the yacht provides the scale required for long periods on board while maintaining a sense of intimacy across its main social areas.
Key outdoor features include a sundeck fitted with a whirlpool, bar, and multiple lounging areas, while the skydeck leads directly onto an aft terrace set up for open-air dining. The overall layout of the motor yacht supports a flexible onboard lifestyle, with spaces suited to both private use and entertaining.
Accommodation on board the superyacht is arranged for up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The owner’s suite is positioned full-beam and includes a private study, a bathroom finished with Calcite Blue stone, and a secluded veranda that adds a degree of privacy not always found on yachts of this size.
Frida is powered by twin MTU engines, delivering a top speed of approximately 15.5 knots. The yacht benefits from Heesen’s Ultra Efficient Steel Hull design, developed to optimize fuel consumption and extend cruising range, making her well suited to long-distance passages.
Once delivered, Frida will join a number of sisterhips, including Serena, Iris Blue, and Solemates.
