The handovers mark the latest additions to the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame, a growing record of models that have achieved a flawless score under YachtBuyer’s independent review and sea trial program.
The Standard Behind a YachtBuyer 5 Star Score
The YachtBuyer 5 Star Trophy is awarded only to yachts that deliver consistently strong results in real-world testing. Since the YachtBuyer review program began, more than 260 production models have been assessed under the same framework.
Owner-operated yachts under 24m undergo full sea trials, where handling, helm feel, visibility, motion, and close-quarters control are examined in detail. Reviews are fully funded by YachtBuyer, with no advertising, sponsorship, or entry fees involved, keeping the process independent. Every model is scored across six categories: performance and handling, design and build quality, interior accommodation, helm stations, on deck features, and value for money.
Fewer than nine percent ever achieve a flawless score.
The four yachts presented at boot Düsseldorf 2026 represent very different segments of the market, but each met the same standard under test. Their induction into the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame reflects performance that held up not just on paper, but in practice.

Axopar 29 XC Cross Cabin secured its YB 5 Star score by adding real-world usability while preserving the confident, unflustered driving feel that defined earlier Axopar models. On test, the hull delivered a dry, composed ride with strong grip through turns and a wide cruising band that remained efficient between the low 20s and low 30s.
Close-quarters handling was clear and predictable, helped by excellent visibility, simple controls, and a powerful bow thruster that made the boat easy to manage without joystick assistance. The revised wheelhouse improved movement and comfort, while the option of two usable cabins added flexibility for overnight use. Reworked aft seating increased versatility at anchor, and robust build detailing supported year-round use, resulting in a compact boat that performed consistently across every assessment category.
Azimut S10 earned its YB 5 Star score by delivering scale, speed, and deck usability at a level rarely seen in the sports yacht category. During testing, the Azimut model stood out for the number of distinct social zones on board, each clearly defined and functional both underway and at anchor. The sportsbridge, aft terrace, foredeck lounge, and inside-out dining area gave the yacht genuine flexibility in how space is used throughout the day.
Below deck, the four-cabin layout made strong use of the available volume, led by a full-beam owner’s suite with excellent natural light and a high standard of finish. Carbon-based construction supported confident performance, while the execution across decks and interiors remained consistent throughout. As a complete package, the S10 delivered across every assessment category and secured its place in the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame.

Through control, predictability, and genuine all-weather capability that stood out clearly under review, Targa 32 Coupé earned its YB 5 Star score. The twin-diesel sterndrive setup delivered precise handling with strong grip and immediate response, giving the boat a planted feel at speed and reassuring control in tight waterways. At cruising speeds between 25 and 32 knots, efficiency remained strong, supporting long-range use without constant adjustment.
Build quality was evident throughout the Targa boat, from the robust hull construction to the tidy, accessible engine room. Practical deck layouts, secure side decks, and thoughtful storage reinforced the boat’s year-round focus, resulting in a compact cruiser that performed consistently across every assessment category.

BOAT TESTTarga 32 Coupé Review (2023 Edition)
Princess X80 secured its YB 5 Star score by delivering a two-deck, five-cabin concept within a 25m platform while still achieving a genuine 30-knot cruising capability. Under review, the layout stood out for its clarity and ambition, with an elevated upper salon, a full-scale bridge, and the option of a main deck owner’s suite that rivals larger yachts in light and privacy.
Below deck, the accommodation plan offered owner-level cabins throughout, including an amidships VIP with strong proportions and natural light. At the helm, visibility, control, and system integration met the demands of long-distance cruising. On deck, the Princess yacht provided multiple usable exterior zones without crowding or compromise. Taken as a whole, the X80 delivered space, performance, and execution at a level that met the standard across every category.

Achieving a 5-star score is difficult by design... boats that reach that level have proven themselves under close scrutiny, and that’s something to be proud of.”
