Designed by Espen Øino International with custom interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and naval architecture developed in-house by Damen Yachting, the second Amels 80 now enters final outfitting ahead of delivery later this year
A Distinctive Exterior Identity
The launch marks the yacht’s first time afloat and back quayside since arriving for outfitting in August 2024. She emerges in a distinctive dolphin blue metallic hull with a platinum bootstripe and white superstructure, a tailored color scheme that underscores the flexibility within the Amels Limited Editions platform.
Sold in December 2022, only months after the Amels 80 series was introduced, this hull follows the delivery of her sistership Pangea in October 2025. Delivery is scheduled in time for the upcoming Mediterranean summer season.
Stefan Regtvoort, Project Manager at Damen Yachting, described the launch as a milestone reflecting close coordination between yard teams, partners, and the owner’s representatives, led by Kees de Keizer.
A Tailored Interior Concept
While built on a proven technical platform, this Amels superyacht features a custom interior concept by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Among her more distinctive spaces is a private speakeasy bar inspired by a 1960s casino aesthetic, designed as an evening retreat separate from the main social areas.
The superyacht accommodates up to 14 guests across seven suites, supported by a crew of 20 plus captain. As with the first hull, the layout balances formal entertaining spaces with private relaxation zones, shaped to the owner’s brief while retaining the efficiencies of a semi-custom series.
Wellness at the Waterline
The Amels 80 carries several defining features of the model. The sun deck includes an oversized Jacuzzi and expansive lounge areas arranged for open-air dining and socializing. On the main deck aft, a 6.5-meter glass-bottom swimming pool serves as both a focal point and a skylight, filtering natural light into the beach club below.
At the waterline, the beach club opens on three sides, creating direct access to the sea and framing a wellness-focused area complete with gym, hammam, and sauna. The arrangement strengthens the connection between indoor leisure spaces and the surrounding environment on board the motor yacht, a theme consistent across the Limited Editions range.
At 80 meters in length overall and measuring 2,175 gross tons, the Amels 80 sits within the upper tier of semi-custom superyachts. Naval architecture by Damen Yachting underpins the platform, delivering the reliability of an established engineering base while supporting extensive personalization across design and outfitting.
Scale and Strategy Across the Amels 60m and 80m
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Amels currently has 9 yachts either in build or on order across the Amels 80 and Amels 60 lines. The 60-meter Amels 60, also designed by Espen Øino, replaces the former Amels 180 and carries a tri-deck layout within an 830GT platform. She accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a main-deck owner’s suite with a fold-down balcony and full-height trapezoid windows.
Hybrid propulsion allows silent electric cruising at up to 7 knots, with a transoceanic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. With space for 13 crew and strong tender storage forward, the Amels 60 sits as a smaller but technically advanced counterpart to the 80, reinforcing the Limited Editions strategy across two size brackets.
