Designed by Alberto Mancini with interiors by Fabio Fantolino, the new flagship of the Azimut Fly Series introduces the Deck2Deck™ stern concept for the first time in the range.
Fly 82 Introduced with Deck2Deck™ Stern Concept
Designed by Alberto Mancini on the exterior and Fabio Fantolino on the interiors, the Azimut Fly 82 carries forward Azimut’s sculpted aesthetic while introducing new lifestyle features.
The yacht is the first in the Fly range to incorporate Azimut’s Deck2Deck™ system, a concept originally developed for the Azimut Grande 26M.
The system allows the opening transom to align with the aft edge of the main deck, turning the cockpit on board the motor yacht into an expansive terrace at the water’s edge.
Inside the superyacht, Fantolino continues his collaboration with Azimut for a third project, shaping interiors around a softly elegant style marked by harmony and balance.
His approach uses a clean geometry of lines and carefully chosen textures to promote a sense of calm, while ensuring each area feels purposeful. A round dining table forms the centerpiece of the saloon, encouraging convivial gatherings, while a bold orange-brown accent provides a fresh injection of character against the otherwise refined palette.
Grande 30M – A New Design Collaboration
The Azimut Grande 30M also took its bow in Cannes, marking the first collaboration between Mancini and m2atelier. The model debuts the Rooftop Lounge and a walkaround Infinity Skydeck, expanding guest areas with a continuous flow from stern to bow. Naval architecture comes from P. L. Ausonio, combining carbon fiber construction, a wave-piercing bow, and a double-chine hull for performance and efficiency.
Power is delivered through a next-generation Rolls Royce propulsion system with MTU engines and POD drives, designed to cut emissions while enhancing maneuverability.
Grande 36M and Trideck – Interiors Reimagined
The new-look Azimut Grande 36M and Azimut Grande Trideck also showcased interiors by m2atelier, introducing the studio’s “Barefoot Luxury” design approach. The philosophy emphasizes informal yet sophisticated living, with spaces defined by feature walls that transform functional structures into artistic statements.
On the Grande 36M, a hand-pleated Gradient Wall blends chromatic depth with craftsmanship, while the Trideck reveals the Unveiling Wall, a sliding slatted installation concealing the main saloon’s TV panel. These details reinforce Azimut’s positioning of its Grande Series as superyachts that pair advanced engineering with a distinctly contemporary design language.
With four premieres, Azimut presented a cross-section of its evolving product strategy at Cannes. The Grande models underscored the brand’s capacity for larger superyachts that mix efficiency with lifestyle-driven design. The Fly 82, meanwhile, introduced a new direction for the shipyard’s Flybridge Series, integrating features previously reserved for larger platforms into a yacht aimed at a broad global market.
