Built at the company’s facility in Fano, Italy, the Silent SY80 Flybridge catamaran touched water earlier this week and is now preparing for her public debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
Positioned as the most advanced and spacious Silent Yachts model to date, the SY80 catamaran introduces expanded layout flexibility, greater volume, and longer-range solar cruising capability, while remaining true to the brand’s core principles of clean energy, quiet propulsion, and onboard comfort.
Flexible Deck Configurations and Custom Layouts
The SY80 is offered in three versions: the SY80 Flybridge, SY80 Open, and SY80 Closed. Each platform can be tailored to suit the needs of long-range owners, with deck plans adaptable to a variety of living styles. Owners can opt for a full-beam on-deck master cabin or retain a wide, open-plan main saloon, with the master suite positioned below.

CEO Fabrizio Iarrera emphasized the model’s high level of personalization, noting that every deck can be adapted to match both individual tastes and practical use. “We can accommodate a very high number of different configurations,” he explained. “It’s about making the yacht of your dreams into a lived reality.”

Beyond layout options, the SY80 also includes increased exterior space for lounging and al fresco dining, alongside improved storage for extended passages.
Interior Style and Guest Comfort
The SY80 is designed to host up to 12 guests across multiple staterooms, depending on the configuration. Inside, the yacht features relaxed, contemporary styling with Italian design influence throughout. A seamless indoor-outdoor connection is supported by large glass surfaces, sliding doors, and wide corridors that create a natural flow between social areas.

Interior furnishings emphasize neutral tones, natural materials, and a warm atmosphere, with modular flexibility enabling layouts that cater to either private family cruising or entertaining at anchor. The large footprint of the catamaran provides ample space for multiple social zones without compromising privacy.
Silent Cruising with Solar-Electric Power
Power comes from Silent Yachts’ proven solar-electric drivetrain, built around a solar array capable of generating up to 22.4 kWp. Depending on specification, the energy is stored in battery banks of either 522 kWh or 696 kWh, enabling fossil-free cruising for extended periods.

The SY80 reaches a top speed of 12 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 7 to 8 knots under electric power. This performance aligns with the model’s focus on range, efficiency, and low-impact cruising, without compromising guest comfort.
A New Flagship for Silent Yachts
As the largest model in the current Silent Yachts range, the SY80 sets a new benchmark for the brand. It joins the Silent SY62 and Silent SY120 Explorer in a growing lineup aimed at eco-conscious cruising.

The launch of the SY80 is also a key milestone in the expansion of solar-electric yachting, delivering high-end design and spacious living in a clean energy package.

With her world premiere scheduled for Cannes 2025, the SY80 is set to attract buyers looking for quiet, low-emissions cruising wrapped in a fully customizable design. Early images suggest a refined and modern catamaran capable of long passages and extended stays aboard.
