Due to be delivered in 2027, Project Solent is a 83m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Feadship. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Malcolm Mckeon Yacht Design, while her interiors are the work of Mark Whiteley Design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 13.6m beam and a 13.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,050 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Project Solent will measure 83m (272ft) with an exterior drawn by Malcolm McKeon. The hull is long and low, and the transom will slope gently aft, taking influence from both sailing and motoryacht design. Round windows are set into the lower deck, continuing a link with McKeon’s sailing background.
The superstructure will rise in clean, tiered layers. From the render, it is clear that glass will be a defining element, with full-height panels running through several decks. These glazed areas will be curved forward and aft, shaping the profile and adding visual flow between the levels.
The foredeck will remain largely open, while the aft decks will be arranged in stepped tiers. Each level is designed with broad overhangs, providing shade while leaving open views from the decks below. Social areas are planned across these terraces, with dining and lounging spaces looking straight out to sea thanks to cutaway bulwarks and inset glass. Project Solent will be a yacht that balances strong horizontal hull lines with the vertical sweep of glass and the layered geometry of its decks.
