Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.9m beam and a 1.96m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 290 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Unique S is a 35.75m (117.3ft) Sanlorenzo SD118 delivered in 2024, with exterior design by Zuccon International Project. The profile carries the familiar SD proportions, with a high bow and plenty of volume forward, but long bands of dark glazing do a good job of stretching the yacht visually. The upper decks step in as they rise, and the white hull is kept relatively clean, so the 8m (26.3ft) beam never makes her look clumsy.
The beach club opens on three sides, with fold down terraces widening the footprint once the yacht is at anchor. The arrangement is more than a simple bathing platform: there is room to sit, launch toys and move around without everything happening in the same narrow strip of deck. The open transom and side terraces bring the water right up to the guest area.
Tender handling is kept close to the stern, with the garage and machinery grouped aft on the lower deck. That keeps the guest accommodation farther forward and lets the beach club work as a social space once the toys are out.
Above, the main deck aft leads straight into the saloon, while the upper deck carries a large terrace set up for dining and lounging. A folding balcony on the port side adds another smaller outdoor corner without changing the clean profile when it is closed.
The sun deck is set up for longer days outside, with loose seating, sunbathing space and a shaded section beneath the hardtop. Forward, the bow has another guest area with sunpads and seating, so outdoor life is spread from one end of the yacht to the other instead of being concentrated at the stern.
Interior Design
Unique S has an interior developed by Sanlorenzo’s in house team, and the main saloon is where the architecture comes through most clearly. Large windows run almost continuously down both sides, bringing in a huge amount of natural light and keeping the room closely connected with the sea.
The saloon itself is wide and open, with a large curved seating arrangement taking up the central section and formal dining close by. That works well with the amount of glass because there are few tall pieces of furniture interrupting the view.
The material palette stays light and contemporary, with pale woods, soft neutral fabrics and carefully integrated lighting. The decorative treatment is restrained enough that the scale of the room and the views do most of the work.
A second lounge is on the upper deck, giving guests another indoor retreat beside the aft terrace. That extra room earns its keep with 10 guests aboard, especially on longer trips when everyone does not want to spend the evening in the same saloon.
Accommodation
Unique S accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites, with the full beam owner’s cabin forward on the main deck and four guest cabins below.
The owner’s suite is well separated from the main social areas aft and uses the SD118’s considerable beam to create a large private room with generous glazing and its own en suite.
Four further double guest cabins sit together on the lower deck, each with its own bathroom. Keeping them grouped around the central lobby gives the accommodation a simple, easy to understand layout and keeps the crew areas farther forward.
Up to seven crew are carried separately, with working and service areas arranged away from the main guest cabins.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 Acert) 1,622hp engines, motor yacht Unique S is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
