VIDEO: 101m Superyacht Moonrise by Feadship Delivered

Feadship has officially delivered superyacht Moonrise, its 101-meter full-custom flagship, following successful sea trials in the North Sea.

Launched in May 2025, the yacht is currently moored at Gibraltar and marks the culmination of a technically ambitious and stylistically evolved build.

Evolution of an Icon

The new Moonrise draws inspiration from the 2020 101m Moonrise, maintaining the same sleek, low-slung silhouette and signature vertical bow designed by Studio De Voogt. Her exterior sports a crisp snow-white and grey color scheme, giving her a bold, modern profile. But while she shares visual continuity with the 100m original, this latest iteration introduces a wide range of structural, aesthetic, and technical updates that signal a forward shift for the Dutch yard.

Chief among these updates is the complete removal of visible communication domes. In a first for Feadship, Starlink satellite receivers have been fully integrated into the superstructure, eliminating the need for traditional antenna domes and lending the yacht a cleaner, more uninterrupted profile. The mast has also been redesigned and extended, further differentiating her from her predecessor.

Interior by Rémi Tessier

Returning designer Rémi Tessier has crafted a reimagined interior layout that prioritizes both elegance and practicality. Although few details have been released about the internal arrangement, the yard confirms that the new Moonrise introduces meaningful refinements over the previous version, including upgraded guest spaces and updated onboard technology.

The bridge deck now features a private cinema lounge, while the sun deck has been expanded to accommodate a gym, massage area, and a dedicated hairdressing salon. A full owner’s deck offers a more private retreat, while extensive glazing throughout the upper decks suggests a naturally bright and open interior environment on board the motor yacht.

Outdoor Living and Deck Enhancements

With a gross tonnage of approximately 4,000 GT, Moonrise delivers large-scale outdoor living areas across her stepped aft decks. Each level has been set back toward the stern, forming naturally shaded terraces ideal for relaxation or alfresco dining. A key enhancement is the extended swim platform, which adds further space at water level, linked to the main deck via twin staircases.

The yacht’s lower deck includes several shell doors, with signs of a side-loading tender garage amidships and a second garage forward. These design details, combined with her clean lines and generous dimensions, suggest a layout geared toward practical onboard operations and seamless tender deployment.

Quiet Cruising and Technical Advances

Feadship has placed strong emphasis on acoustic comfort aboard Moonrise. The yacht features newly developed propellers and appendages engineered to reduce underwater noise and limit interior vibration. Notably, she is the first Feadship to include a fully resilient-mounted anchor winch foundation, with optimized chain routing that further minimizes mechanical sound.

This focus on quiet performance supports both onboard comfort and marine environmental sensitivity. During her trials, Moonrise reached a top speed of 22.5 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots.

Her steel hull was constructed in 2022 at Feadship’s Zwijnenburg facility, while the aluminum superstructure and outfitting were completed in Makkum. The yacht was first spotted in October 2023 during her float-out before moving on to final stages of construction.

Another Milestone for Feadship

According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, the largest yacht database in the world, Moonrise will become the sixth-largest yacht ever delivered by Feadship and joins a fleet of recent launches that includes the 71.8-meter Stella M and the 79.9-meter Faith, now on her maiden voyage. Looking ahead, she is expected to be surpassed in size by the upcoming 101-meter Project 1014, currently in build and due to launch next year.

Though developed in relative secrecy, Moonrise now emerges as one of the most refined yachts in Feadship’s current lineup - a vessel that not only honors the styling cues of her predecessor but redefines the yard’s approach to sound reduction, connectivity, and exterior design.
