The launch follows confirmation earlier this year that Project 717 had been successfully resold through Feadship’s Resale division. Delivery is scheduled for spring 2026.
Exterior design revealed at launch
The launch provided the first clear view of Project 717’s exterior, developed by Studio De Voogt. The design focuses on controlled proportions, using extended horizontal lines to emphasize length while avoiding a stretched appearance.
Senior designer Jan Schaffers explained that the yacht’s visual balance was achieved through small but deliberate adjustments rather than dramatic features. Widened shoulders along the sun deck play a central role in stabilizing the profile, while the overall silhouette remains low and composed across all decks.
The exterior of the yacht reads as purposeful and restrained, with a vertical bow and clean glazing bands reinforcing a contemporary character intended to age well rather than chase short-term trends.
Main deck aft shaped as a beach-oriented social space
One of the defining features revealed at launch is the yacht’s expansive main deck aft. Fold-down bulwarks open the space directly to the sea, substantially increasing deck width and creating uninterrupted views across the water.
When the fold down bulwarks are open, the deck space and uninterrupted views are comparable to those of a yacht nearly twice this size, enhanced by the generous ceiling on the aft deck.”

This area is arranged as a primary social hub, with generous seating and a glass-fronted Jacuzzi positioned aft. A high overhead adds volume and shade, preventing the space from feeling enclosed when the bulwarks are deployed. According to the design team, the intention was to deliver the scale and openness more commonly associated with motor yachts far larger than 50m.
Forward of the aft lounge, the main deck continues with a well-proportioned lounging and dining area. Large windows maintain privacy while keeping the interior closely connected to the exterior environmen
Sun deck scale exceeds expectations for a 50m yacht
The launch also highlighted the scale of Project 717’s sun deck, which approaches the size typically seen on significantly larger yachts. The deck accommodates the flybridge and a secondary helm station, clearly separated from guest areas to preserve comfort underway.
Forward seating provides an elevated lookout position, while bar units with barbecue facilities support extended outdoor use. A large dining table with ceiling fans anchors the central zone, while a relaxed bar and lounge arrangement aft completes the layout. The deck is configured to support multiple activities without congestion.
Additional guest spaces are found on the foredeck, where seating and sun pads create a quieter retreat away from the main social zones. Large hull doors on the lower deck provide access to the tender garage, which houses the yacht’s tenders while preserving clean exterior lines when closed.
Interior Arrangement Revealed
Although interior imagery remains limited, Feadship has confirmed that Project 717’s interior has been designed by Marty Lowe, Inc. in close cooperation with the owner and the yard.
Accommodation is arranged for 10 guests across five staterooms. The full-beam owner’s suite is positioned on the main deck and includes panoramic views, a private study, and a separate dressing area. Guest cabins are located on the lower deck, completing a layout focused on privacy and practical circulation.
From a technical standpoint, Project 717 is equipped with propulsion technology developed under the Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive program. Propulsion and steering are delivered by thrusters, a configuration designed to reduce drag while improving efficiency, maneuverability, and onboard comfort. The system also contributes to lower vibration and noise levels, particularly during low-speed operation. Performance figures indicate a top speed of 15 knots and a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
A Busy 2026 Delivery Year Across Feadship’s Custom Fleet
According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, the largest yacht database in the world, Project 717 is one of six Feadship yachts scheduled for delivery in 2026, underlining a busy handover year for the Dutch yard across multiple size brackets.
At the top end of the order book sits Feadship Project 1014, a 101.2m custom superyacht that will be the yard’s largest delivery of the year. Built around a steel displacement hull with an aluminum superstructure, the 3,840 GT yacht ranks among the world’s largest by volume and length. First seen outside the build shed in late 2024, Project 1014 is now progressing through outfitting ahead of delivery later this year.
Also due for completion is the 80m Thalassa, formerly known as Project 826. Designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design with interiors by M2 Atelier, Thalassa has drawn attention for her unusually long foredeck and expansive beach club with three opening sides, including a near full-beam aft door. With a range of up to 5,500 nautical miles, she sits firmly in the long-range cruising category.
At the smaller end of the scale, Perfect Lady will complete the 2026 lineup. Measuring 45.7m, the aluminum yacht was launched in December 2025 and has since undergone sea trials. With interiors by FM Architettura and a more compact 425 GT volume, she represents Feadship’s ability to deliver custom yachts across a wide range of sizes within the same delivery year.
With her launch complete, Project 717 now moves into the final stretch toward sea trials and delivery, revealing a yacht shaped by proportion, usable volume, and careful design restraint. As part of a wider 2026 delivery lineup, she reinforces Feadship’s steady output across the custom market, from compact builds to some of the world’s largest superyachts.
