  • Sundeck with hot tub
  • Classic canoe stern design
  • 2,100nm cruising range

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7m beam and a 1.9m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 163 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Santa Maria is a 33m (108ft) Feadship with naval architecture by Frits de Voogt, and her profile reflects early 1960s Dutch craftsmanship with a clear, functional layout. The dark blue hull contrasts with a white superstructure, while a long sheerline and raked bow give the yacht a steady, purposeful stance.

Her canoe stern defines the aft profile, softening the lines and creating a distinct seating area set right against the transom. This space sits low to the water and feels closely tied to the surroundings, while also marking her out from more modern flat-stern designs.

The side decks run clean and uninterrupted, with practical railings and teak detailing that reinforce the yacht’s traditional character. Midships access points and a simple ladder arrangement connect directly to the water, which suits her cruising style and age.

Up top, the sundeck is open and flexible. It has space for loose sunloungers as well as a built-in hot tub, and the layout allows for casual dining while underway or at anchor. The mast and simple superstructure lines keep the upper profile uncluttered, so the focus stays on usable deck space rather than visual complexity.

Interior Design

The interior has remained largely intact since launch, and that continuity defines the atmosphere on board. Dark wood joinery, original detailing, and traditional layouts still form the backbone of the design, as successive owners chose to preserve rather than replace.

The main salon reflects this approach. Timber finishes, classic proportions, and original features such as the wood wheel remain in place, so the space feels authentic to its era. Updates have been introduced carefully, with newer soft furnishings and systems added without removing the original structure.

Across the yacht, the balance stays consistent. Modern upgrades sit behind the scenes, while visible elements lean toward classic yacht design. This approach keeps the interiors usable for current cruising while retaining the character that places her within the Feadship Heritage Fleet.

Accommodation

Santa Maria accommodates up to 10 guests across a traditional cabin layout, shaped by her original design and preserved through later refits.

Cabins follow a classic arrangement with defined spaces, built-in storage, and timber finishes throughout. While the layout reflects the period in which she was built, upgrades over time have improved comfort and usability without altering the overall structure.

Crew areas for up to six remain separate and functional, supporting longer cruising.
