Key Features
- 26-knot top speed
- Submersible transom platform
- Main-deck owner's suite
- Open hardtop flybridge
Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.27m beam and a 1.99m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 220 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Zeta is a late-series example of the Riva 110' Dolcevita, a model that earned a 5-Star YachtBuyer Award in our Riva 110' Dolcevita review of one of her sisterships. Officina Italiana Design uses long horizontal bands of dark glass to make the yacht look lower and leaner than its 220GT volume suggests, with the metallic hull on Zeta making that contrast even stronger.
The bow is long and open, with a large area of teak ahead of the superstructure. Aft, the decks step down more gradually towards the water, and the flybridge remains open beneath a compact hardtop rather than becoming another enclosed storey. This balance between low superstructure and substantial internal volume was central to the 110' Dolcevita design.
The stern is more technically interesting. The garage door forms part of a submersible transom arrangement: it can fold down into a bathing platform and then lower into the water for tender launching and swimming. It gives the 110 a much closer connection with the sea without requiring the broad fold-out terraces found on some newer yachts.
Outdoor space is spread between the aft cockpit, foredeck and flybridge. Up top, the hardtop incorporates glass panels while still leaving much of the deck open, so the flybridge retains the lightness that is such an important part of Zeta's profile.
Interior Design
Officina Italiana Design also created Zeta's interior, so the same studio was responsible for the yacht inside and out.
The defining room on the 110' Dolcevita is the main saloon. It was conceived almost as a loft, with tall glazing and large openings on three sides rather than a conventional saloon enclosed behind heavy sidewalls. That gives the main deck a much stronger relationship with the cockpit and sea than the exterior profile might suggest.
The arrangement also benefits from the yacht's 7.27m (23.9ft) beam. Lounge and dining can sit within one broad main-deck space without turning the room into a long passage between furniture..
Accommodation
Zeta accommodates up to 11 guests in five suites, with separate quarters for five crew.
The owner's suite sits forward on the main deck, one of the major differences between the 110' Dolcevita and smaller Riva sports yachts where the master is usually below. The position gives the owner more separation from the guest cabins and machinery, while the large side windows bring considerably more light into the room.
Crew accommodation is arranged separately for five, allowing the yacht to support the full guest complement without mixing service circulation heavily into the accommodation areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Zeta has a GRP planing hull developed by Ferretti Group Engineering.
Twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesels produce 2,638hp each, giving a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of around 22 knots.
Maximum range is approximately 430 nautical miles.
Those figures tell you exactly where the priorities lie. Zeta is a fast flybridge yacht designed around covering Mediterranean distances at speed, rather than stretching fuel endurance through long passages at displacement speeds. Across the 110' Dolcevita platform, cruising in the low 20s and a maximum in the mid-20s form the core performance brief.
That performance is particularly notable alongside the yacht's five-cabin layout, main-deck owner accommodation and 220GT volume. The Dolcevita does not achieve its interior space by turning into a slower, heavier displacement yacht.
