Horizon FD80 Hull 15 Yacht to Make European Debut at 2025 Cannes and Monaco Shows

Horizon Yachts has announced that their Horizon FD80 Hull 15 will make its debut at the 2025 Cannes and Monaco Yacht  Shows, signaling a new chapter for the high-volume model in the Continental market.

As the first Horizon FD80 to be delivered to Europe, Hull 15 arrives with a fully custom interior by Dutch designer Cor D. Rover, indicating the yard’s growing international footprint and attention to client personalization. The FD80 hull will premiere at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival and the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.

The Horizon FD Series - currently spanning 19 models - has become one of Horizon’s most successful platforms globally, and the FD80 is its most compact high-volume entry still in production.

A Enhanced Take on Compact Volume

Despite its 24-meter (80-foot) length, the FD80 is known for achieving substantial interior volume while maintaining sleek exterior lines. The interior of the FD80 Hull 15 was styled by Cor D. Rover with a focus on soft minimalism, gentle curves, and calm tonal contrasts

Bleached teak cabinetry is paired with brushed gunmetal details, and select finishes are given a textured treatment for added depth.

The main saloon benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch nearly the full height of the deck, with a layout that encourages open living. A 65-inch television, positioned within a central entertainment console, sits across from custom-upholstered seating. The galley, which sits forward to port, features an island with bar stools for casual dining and direct interaction with the chef.

Adaptable Outdoor Living

On deck, the FD80 motor yacht is set up for entertaining across multiple zones. The main deck aft features a flexible dining arrangement around a six-seat table, with integrated refrigeration and an ice maker tucked discreetly into the cabinetry. Access to shore is handled by a Besenzoni hydraulic passerelle, which extends up to 5.6 meters.

Forward, the bow area presents a relaxed alfresco setting, with U-shaped seating, sunpads, and space for informal meals. Above, the bridge deck continues the indoor-outdoor theme with a vibrant skylounge and open-air social zone.

A teppanyaki bar, fold-up 43-inch TV, and wine cabinet create a natural gathering space that flows out to a centrally positioned Jacuzzi. This area can accommodate either a four-seat lounge or a tender, with optional awnings available for full shade.

Custom Comfort Across Four Cabins

Hull 15’s accommodation is centered around the FD Series hallmark: a full-beam, on-deck master suite located forward on the main deck. The master features a wraparound headboard, generous storage, and a 65-inch The Frame television. The ensuite bathroom onboard the yacht has been upgraded to match the specification level of Horizon’s larger FD90, and includes a dual-sink vanity.

Three additional ensuite guest cabins are located on the lower deck. These include twin VIPs to port and starboard, and a flexible forward cabin with a V-berth that converts into a double. A stairwell with brushed gunmetal framing and tempered glass balustrades connects the lower deck to the bridge level, while a dedicated laundry room with washer, dryer, and ironing board serves the guest area.

Crew accommodations for four are located aft of the engine room, which houses twin MTU 1,600 hp engines. Aft access opens directly into the beach club, ensuring clear separation between guest and crew areas.

The Horizon FD Series in Context: A Range Built on Volume and Versatility

The FD Series now includes 19 different models, ranging from the 22.56m FD74 to the 38.1m FD130 Tri-Deck. Several variants, including Skyline and Tri-Deck versions of the FD100, FD110, and FD130, are in production, reflecting the line’s adaptability to diverse owner preferences.

Models like the FD90 Skylounge and FD100 Skyline have proven popular for clients seeking more space without stepping up to the 30m-plus range, while the FD75 and FD85 continue to cater to those desiring slightly smaller formats with luxury-level layout potential.

With four FD80s currently in build, Horizon is continuing to invest in this size category, responding to strong demand for compact superyachts with high interior volume and flexible design language.
