New Itama 70 Yacht Introduced at boot Düsseldorf 2026

Ferretti Group has unveiled the new Itama 70 at boot Düsseldorf 2026, introducing a fresh model that expands the brand’s open sports yacht range while staying firmly rooted in Itama’s long-established design language.

Revealed during a press conference at the show attended by YachtBuyer, the Itama 70 arrives as a new mid-size option positioned between the 62RS and the flagship 75, both in length and in onboard intent. The new Itama model is set to launch in autumn 2026.

A refined evolution of the Itama profile

The exterior design of the Itama 70, developed by A. Vallicelli & C., builds on the brand’s established open sports yacht proportions, with a low profile, elongated lines, and a strong emphasis on driver engagement. Presentation imagery highlighted a layout shaped around clear circulation, usable deck space, and a close connection between helm and social areas.

Key deck and exterior features presented include:

  • Integrated foredeck sunbathing cushions set flush into the deck
  • Central access to the foredeck, keeping movement forward clear of lower deck access
  • A spacious aft cockpit arranged as a primary outdoor living area
  • Double pilot seating at the helm, positioned forward within the cockpit

Together, these elements reinforce the Itama 70’s focus on straightforward, owner-driven use, balancing relaxed deck living with the direct, hands-on feel that defines the brand’s open yacht lineup.

Interior spaces shaped around light and simplicity

Interior design of the Itama 70 is by Ideaitalia, with the presentation emphasizing a single-level living arrangement throughout the main interior spaces. The goal, as described during the reveal, is to eliminate steps within the cabin area of the boat and create a more fluid, comfortable environment for extended stays on board.

Natural light plays a key role, supported by extended hull windows that run along the accommodation spaces. The main saloon and galley are arranged as a convivial, open area, with neutral finishes and a restrained material palette visible in the presentation imagery.

Accommodation is laid out across three guest cabins, supported by a dedicated crew cabin. The master cabin is positioned amidships, benefiting from the motor yacht’s full beam. A VIP cabin most likely sits forward, while the third guest cabin is configured as a double with a Pullman berth, allowing flexible accommodation for families or mixed guest groups. All guest cabins are served by three bathrooms, with an additional bathroom located within the crew quarters.

Performance and technical profile of the Itama 70

Technical specifications released at this stage remain preliminary, but the presentation confirmed two propulsion options. The Itama 70 will be offered with twin MAN V12 engines rated at either 1,400 hp or 1,550 hp.

With the MAN V12 1400 package, the yacht is quoted with a maximum speed of 37 knots. Opting for the higher-output MAN V12 1550 engines raises the stated top speed to 39 knots. Hull length is listed at 19.3 meters, with overall length reaching 20.93 meters. The yacht is configured with three cabins for guests and a standard single crew cabin.

The Itama 70 in context

The introduction of the Itama 70 fills a clear gap in the brand’s current model range. Below it, the Itama 62RS measures just over 19 meters and is positioned as a highly agile, performance-led sportsboat capable of speeds exceeding 40 knots. With three cabins for up to six guests and a strong emphasis on dayboating and short escapes, the 62RS favors compact proportions and outright pace.

Above the new 70 sits the Itama 75, stretching to 23.5 meters and pushing further into luxury yacht territory. The 75 offers increased cockpit volume, a more expansive interior, and the option of four guest cabins alongside a dedicated crew area. Performance remains central, with top speeds quoted above 40 knots, but the overall experience leans more toward extended cruising and onboard entertaining.

The Itama 70 positions itself squarely between these two approaches. Compared to the 62RS, it introduces greater interior volume, a more developed cockpit living area, and a clearer separation between guest and crew spaces. Compared to the 75, it remains more compact and closer to owner-driver operation, with a simpler accommodation plan and a tighter overall footprint.

In practical terms, the 70 appears aimed at owners who want more comfort and flexibility than the 62RS provides, without stepping up to the size, crew requirements, and onboard scale of the 75. It extends the Itama range in a measured way rather than redefining it.
