Third Mangusta Oceano 52 Superyacht Sold

The third Mangusta Oceano 52 superyacht has been sold by Italian builder Overmarine Group, with delivery scheduled for 2028.

The 52m Mangusta Oceano 52 was developed by Overmarine’s Engineering Department in collaboration with Monaco-based designer Alberto Mancini, who is responsible for her exterior styling, while the shipyard oversees naval architecture and interior development.

Conceived as a flexible platform, each Mangusta Oceano 52 is treated as a highly customizable project. The model has been developed around the concept of “A Deck Above the Rest,” a layout approach that rethinks how gross tonnage is distributed within 500GT while maintaining a strong visual and spatial connection to the sea.

On this third unit, the European owner - a repeat Mangusta client - selected a distinct configuration on every deck of the superyacht. The main deck will feature two guest cabins positioned forward in the bow, an arrangement that frees up circulation space amidships and enhances privacy. The owner’s suite has been given a custom layout, centered on 180-degree panoramic glazing and direct access to a private terrace. A Mangusta signature infinity pool is integrated into this terrace, reinforcing the yacht’s focus on open-air living.

The sale of three Mangusta Oceano 52 units in rapid succession attests to the incredible appeal of an innovative project capable of going beyond the traditional boundaries of the segment below 500 GT."

A defining feature is the tiered beach club aft, which spans nearly nine meters. Fold-down terraces expand the footprint at anchor, and a water-level pool anchors the space visually and functionally. The result is a beach area that rivals those found on larger yachts, reinforcing the model’s ambition to deliver a 60-meter experience within 500GT.

The relationship between interior and exterior spaces is central to the yacht’s architecture. Large sliding doors, open aft decks, and continuous glazing create a fluid transition between lounges and outdoor areas. Rather than treating exterior decks as separate zones, the layout integrates them into the daily rhythm of life on board.

The Mangusta Oceano 52 accommodates guests across multiple decks, with this unit’s layout emphasizing balance between owner privacy and guest comfort. In addition to the two main-deck guest cabins and the forward owner’s suite, further guest accommodation is located on the lower deck.

Constructed in steel and aluminum, the Mangusta Oceano 52 is a long-range displacement yacht engineered for extended cruising. The European owner of this third hull intends to cruise extensively in the Mediterranean following delivery. The motor yacht’s engineering package supports this brief, with systems optimized for sustained passages and quiet operation.

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Mangusta has 25 yachts either in build or on order. This includes units from the Gransport 54, the Mangusta 165 REV, and the Oceano 50 series.
