Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow ice class steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 44' beam and a 12'2" draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 2,117 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2022 with the keel laid under the project name 'Feadship 715'. Launched in May 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Valor is a high-volume steel explorer yacht built with a 2m (6.5ft) thick ice belt above and below the waterline, achieving Bureau Veritas Young Ice Class 2 certification - designed to operate comfortably in remote and icy regions, including Arctic exploration.

The yacht’s profile is assertive and geometric, with a sharp, flared bow that prominently displays the number 97 while concealing integrated tender storage. The superstructure is composed of clean horizontal lines and floor-to-ceiling glass. A total of five decks are laid out with walkaround access on the upper levels. Bulwarks on the owner’s and bridge decks are widened for additional deck space.

Exterior features are extensive, including one of the largest contra-flow infinity pools ever installed on a Feadship of this length at her launch, as well as a substantial starboard-side tender door. The sundeck is split between a forward-facing Jacuzzi with wraparound sunpads and a relaxed open-air dining area aft. A second Jacuzzi is positioned on the upper deck, forward of the owner’s suite.

Outdoor spaces are spread across multiple levels, with options for formal dining, sunbathing, and casual gatherings. Aft of the bridge deck gym is another dedicated exterior lounge, and at water level, the beach club opens wide to the surroundings thanks to large drop-down platforms.

Valor carries hybrid technology and ice-class strength with striking composure.

Interior Design

The interior has been crafted with a strong emphasis on natural materials and quiet luxury. Finishes throughout the yacht feature carefully sourced timber, stone, metal, and glass, presented in a style that feels both tactile and contemporary. Despite the clean lines and understated palette, detailing is intricate and precise.

The main staircase is a standout architectural element, assembled from over 48,000 individual components, including hand-finished bronze and stone. Furniture choices span from vintage mid-century to bespoke contemporary pieces by George Nakashima, Linley, Pollaro, and Silver Lining. Linley also produced custom billet titanium directors’ chairs for use in some of the yacht’s alfresco spaces.

In the main salon, a pair of McIntosh audio towers includes a high-end turntable and a curated vinyl collection, adding a distinctive analogue flair to the onboard experience. Other guest areas follow a similarly relaxed but highly refined atmosphere.

A formal dining area on the upper deck seats fourteen and features sliding glass walls that transform the space into an open-air setting when desired. A sky lounge, gym, and multiple casual seating areas complete the arrangement. All six decks are connected by an internal lift, linking the sundeck with the lower deck beach club and wellness space, which includes massage and beauty rooms alongside toy and dive gear storage.

Accommodation

Valor accommodates up to 14 guests across seven suites. The owner’s stateroom is positioned forward on its own private deck, with panoramic views, a private Jacuzzi, a large dressing room, and a dedicated study. The suite opens onto an expansive terrace designed for privacy and comfort.

The six remaining guest suites are located on the main deck, providing generous space and privacy. These are positioned close to the main salon and open deck dining area, making them well suited for social occasions and day-to-night flow.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel John Deere (6135SFM85) 6-cylinder 475hp engines running at 2000rpm, motor yacht Valor is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 166,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Valor operates with a hybrid propulsion system based on the Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive (FAED) programme. Power is drawn from four variable-speed diesel generators connected to a DC grid and a 5.34MWh lithium-ion battery bank. Solar panels mounted on the mast add additional renewable input.

This configuration enables the yacht to operate in silent, zero-emissions mode for up to 48 hours, suitable for low-impact cruising in protected environments. Propulsion is provided by twin Schottel EcoPeller azimuthing thrusters, achieving a top speed of over 15 knots and an efficient cruising speed of 11 knots. Manoeuvring and stability are supported by a Schottel Rim-Drive bow thruster and Quantum XT Fin and MAGLift stabilisers.

Valor pairs a dreadnought bow with refined, low-slung lines that make an impact.
