Design & Construction
Designed around a fast displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.8m beam and a 2.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 265 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Sirena 118 design. Launched in July 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2026.
Exterior Design
Ikigai is hull 1 of the Sirena 118 and the yacht that pushes the Turkish builder properly into the superyacht market. At 36m (118.1ft) and 265GT, she is around 9m (29.5ft) longer than the Sirena 88 that previously topped the range, but the in-house exterior team has kept the profile relatively low and clean. Long dark window bands run through the main and upper decks, the plumb bow carries useful volume right forward, and the superstructure steps inward as it rises instead of piling more visual weight onto the hull.
Ikigai has plenty of height and interior volume, but the broad horizontal glazing and dark upper deck structure pull the eye along the yacht rather than upwards. The grey lower hull and fine red boot stripe add a little definition without making the profile fussy.
Aft, Ikigai has a far more open relationship with the water than the yard’s smaller yachts. Fold down side wings increase the usable stern area at anchor, while a hydraulic platform handles swimming, toys and tender access. This is where the “villa by the sea” idea becomes more than a slogan, because the aft deck is designed to open physically towards the water instead of simply looking at it through glass.
Forward, the bow is handed over to guests with a Jacuzzi and broad sunpads, creating a quieter outdoor area away from the stern. Higher up, the upper deck adds dining and a wet bar, while the sun deck carries more lounging space beneath the hardtop. The exterior areas are spread through the yacht instead of being concentrated around one large aft terrace, so guests have several genuinely different places to spend the day.
Interior Design
Cor D. Rover designed Ikigai’s interior around the same idea of light, width and long views through the yacht. Pale timber, cream upholstery, darker metal accents and layered lighting keep the rooms calm, but the strongest part of the design is the amount of glass.
The main saloon has broad windows on both sides and a layout that keeps furniture low enough not to interrupt the view. Two deep burgundy sofas bring some colour into an otherwise restrained room, while metallic coffee tables and a backlit leafy ceiling panels sit within a grid overhead, creating a soft decorative feature that changes the room after sunset.
Accommodation
Ikigai can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins and 5 crew, with the owner’s suite forward on the main deck and the remaining guest accommodation below.
The standout option within the Sirena 118 layout is the two level owner’s arrangement. In this configuration, the main deck stateroom connects by private spiral staircase to a lower deck retreat with direct access to the water. It is a genuinely unusual idea at 36m (118.1ft), effectively turning the owner’s accommodation into a small private duplex instead of a single room at the front of the yacht.
Performance & Capabilities
Ikigai uses a Germán Frers fast displacement hull, with a plumb bow and all GRP construction. The standard propulsion package uses twin MAN V12 engines producing 1,550hp each, giving a top speed of around 16 knots.
