Due to be delivered in 2027, Mengi Yay NL 52 Plus is a 52.4m motor yacht for sale built by Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Nuvolari Lenard, while Van Oossanen Naval Architects is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Large sundeck includes Jacuzzi and fire pit
  • Foredeck lounge doubles as open-air cinema
  • Full-beam tender garage for water toys
  • Beach club with pool and terraces
  • Owner's suite with slide-out balcony
  • Hydraulic operated terraces and swim platform

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.65m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The Mengi Yay NL 52 Plus is a 52.6m (172.6ft) superyacht shaped by Nuvolari Lenard, with Van Oossanen responsible for the naval architecture. The hull targets low resistance, so fuel use and onboard noise stay controlled during long passages.

The profile stays long and measured, with strong horizontal lines and wide bands of glazing that run through each deck. This breaks up the volume and keeps the yacht visually low. The bow is upright and clean, which preserves usable foredeck space while avoiding excess styling.

Outdoor living drives the layout. The aft section steps down in terraces to the water, forming a beach club with a custom pool, fold-down platforms, and open lounging zones. This whole area links directly to the swim platform, so it works as one continuous space rather than separate levels.

The foredeck shifts function depending on use. It holds a lounge that converts into an open-air cinema with a retractable screen, while still keeping space for relaxed seating during the day. Above, the sundeck carries a heated spa pool and a fire pit, set within one of the larger open decks in this size range, with clear views in all directions.

A full-beam tender garage sits forward and takes a 7m (23ft) tender alongside a crew tender and water toys. This frees the stern for guest use and keeps operations out of sight. A separate crew stairway links service areas directly to the pantry, so movement stays discreet even with a full guest complement.

Glass plays a key role across the design, with large sections along the main and upper decks bringing light inside while keeping sightlines open. The proportions stay balanced from bow to stern, with no abrupt changes in form.

Accommodation

The Mengi Yay NL 52 Plus accommodates up to 10 guests across five suites.

The owner’s cabin sits on the main deck and acts as a private space away from guest traffic. It includes a slide-out balcony that opens the suite to the sea.

On the lower deck, two VIP cabins sit alongside two guest cabins that convert between twin and double layouts. Each cabin follows the same standard in space and finish.

Crew accommodation supports up to nine. Four crew cabins sit on the lower deck, while the captain’s cabin is positioned on the upper deck close to the bridge.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,450hp engines, motor yacht Mengi Yay NL 52 Plus is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 55,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
