$1.5M Price Reduction on 50m Trinity Custom Superyacht Impromptu

The 50m superyacht Impromptu has seen a major price drop of $1,550,000 and, according to YachtBuyer Market Watch, is now asking $20,900,000.

Delivered in 2010 and refitted most recently in 2025, the 50m custom motor yacht Impromptu was built by Trinity Yachts, which also handled her naval architecture and exterior design, with interiors by Patrick Knowles.

Impromptu’s interior is defined by Patrick Knowles’ detailed use of materials and a layout designed for extended time on board. The main salon on board the yacht for sale is finished with multiple wood types, including wenge cabinetry, decorative inlays, and textured bulkhead treatments that give the space depth without feeling heavy. Forward, the formal dining area seats 12 and is partially separated from the central lobby by an etched glass panel, preserving light while providing definition.

A standout feature inside is the centrally located spiral staircase, which incorporates a dedicated wine display at its upper landing. The full-beam skylounge functions as a relaxed social hub, fitted with a bar, large television, games table, and generous seating arranged for conversation rather than formality. Vertical windows at the helm provide clear sightlines, reinforcing the yacht’s practical, ocean-capable design. The galley is proportioned for serious service, with walk-in refrigeration, pantry access, and storage suited to long-range cruising.

The sundeck is the focal point, featuring teak loungers, shaded seating, a granite-topped bar, barbecue, and a large raised Jacuzzi designed for up to 12 guests. A dayhead and generous dining table make this deck usable throughout the day and evening.

On the bridge deck aft, a circular dining table takes advantage of the yacht’s full beam, supported by an adjacent skylounge that opens directly onto the exterior. The main deck aft includes a raised conversation area with optional air conditioning, positioned above the swim platform and tender garage. This tiered arrangement improves sightlines and keeps guest circulation separate from crew operations, a practical detail often appreciated on motor yachts of this size.

Impromptu accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins. The owner’s suite spans the main deck in a split-level arrangement, featuring a private study, walk-in wardrobe, and separate his and hers bathrooms. A private observation terrace provides a quiet outdoor retreat rarely found on yachts in this class.

Powered by twin Caterpillar 3512B diesel engines producing 2,250hp each, Impromptu reaches a top speed of around 18.5 to 20 knots, with a cruising speed between 14 and 16.5 knots depending on operating profile. At an economical speed of 10 knots, she offers a range of approximately 3,800 nautical miles, supported by a fuel capacity of over 66,000 liters.
