Launched at the shipyard's La Spezia facility, the Baglietto FAST50 becomes the debut yacht in a new generation of Baglietto performance yachts, bringing together the speed traditionally associated with the yard's historic fast builds and the volume typically found aboard larger displacement vessels.
A Modern Interpretation of Baglietto's Fast Yacht Heritage
Originally unveiled in 2024, the FAST50 was developed as Baglietto's flagship fast-yacht concept and draws inspiration from some of the shipyard's most recognizable aluminum projects, including Adler, Pachamama, and the Compasso d'Oro-winning Monokini.
According to Baglietto, the superyacht was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the builder's heritage, pairing sporty proportions with modern onboard living spaces and substantial interior volume.
The exterior design comes from Francesco Paszkowski Design, while the interiors were developed by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. Naval architecture was created by Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture.
Automotive-Inspired Styling
Built entirely from aluminum, the FAST50 carries a distinctly performance-focused profile. Baglietto says inspiration was drawn from the automotive world, with integrated air intakes, sculpted stern detailing, and a bespoke "Porsche Chalk" hull finish developed specifically for the project.
The yacht's layout places considerable emphasis on outdoor living and maintaining a close connection to the water. Full-height glazing and Baglietto's signature cut-out bulwarks increase visibility throughout the guest areas, while large openings between interior and exterior spaces create a more open onboard environment.
From the expansive beach club to the seamless continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, every detail has been conceived to enhance life on board and strengthen the connection with the sea."

At the stern, the two-level beach club incorporates fold-down bulwarks that expand the usable deck area when at anchor. A hidden transformer system replaces a conventional passerelle, helping maintain the motor yacht's clean exterior lines.
Elsewhere, the upper deck features a three-sided veranda dining area with panoramic views, while the foredeck accommodates a lounge, sunpads, and a Jacuzzi. A private rooftop retreat adds another outdoor social space, an unusual feature on a yacht of this size and category.
Lightweight Construction Supports High-Speed Cruising
While the FAST50 introduces substantial guest spaces, performance remains central to the concept. The yacht measures 49.9m with a gross tonnage of 499GT and is powered by four MTU 16V2000 M96L engines producing a combined output of more than 10,000 horsepower. Baglietto expects the yacht to cruise comfortably at 24 knots and reach a maximum speed of 30 knots.
Weight-saving measures have been incorporated throughout the project to support those performance targets. Lightweight materials replace heavier stone finishes in many areas, while even the exterior handrails have been constructed from titanium.
Accommodation is arranged across three decks, including a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck. Guest accommodations comprise four lower-deck staterooms, including two VIP cabins and two twin cabins, while separate quarters accommodate the captain and crew.
FAST50 Joins a Busy Construction Pipeline
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, recent activity for Baglietto includes the unveiling of the 50m Project Farah, a fully custom yacht currently under construction for delivery in 2027. This occurred alongside the sale of the third 61m T60, which is scheduled for delivery in 2029. Earlier this year, the shipyard also launched the first 60m T60, currently the largest yacht ever built by Baglietto.
Baglietto's momentum was further highlighted in May when the 52m Awandra secured a class victory at the 2026 World Superyacht Awards, recognizing the success of the yard's highly customized T52 platform.
