The announcement introduces a tri-national partnership between Wider Yachts, OceanWorld Group and Vripack’s design direction.
A Brand Shaped by Vripack
Oceans Yachts draws heavily on the design philosophy of Vripack, the Dutch studio behind both the exterior and interior of the debut 47-meter model. A brand known for its holistic approach that unites engineering and styling, Vripack has shaped a significant number of emerging projects, such as the Burger 180, due to launch in 2026 from Burger Boat.

Supporting a similar design direction, OceanWorld Group provides the financial and ownership platform from Dubai, while Italian shipyard Wider delivers the shipbuilding and engineering expertise needed to bring the yacht design into reality.
Together, the partners intend Oceans Yachts to serve as a platform for new concepts that marry design, lifestyle, and technology.
We wanted to embody an idea of authentic luxury, one that does not compromise on efficiency and that looks boldly to the future of yachting.

Practical Elegance
Vripack describes Oceans 47 as a study in ‘practical elegance’ - a focus on timeless styling, open sightlines, and functional layouts. The profile of the motor yacht is marked by geometric lines and extensive glazing, while interiors are shaped around natural light and seamless connections with the sea.
This same philosophy can be seen in Vripack’s 45.6-meter motor yacht Scintilla Maris, refitted in 2023/24, where the studio redesigned the interiors during her conversion from a trawler, introducing skylights, light-filled guest areas, and a functional layout that keeps those on board closely connected to the sea.

Spaces have been designed to converse with natural light, with full-height windows and wide sightlines creating openness throughout.
Oceans Yachts was created to offer not just a vessel, but a manifesto of ambition, authenticity and contemporary luxury.

Living Spaces and Amenities
Life on board the Oceans 47 centers around the integration of natural light and sea views. Guest staterooms are arranged with oversized windows, while the lounges provide flexible arrangements for both formal and casual use.
The owner’s suite spans the forward section of the upper deck, with an outlook that connects directly to the horizon. A dedicated cinema completes the amenities, giving evenings on board a private, immersive element. Social areas across the main and bridge decks are further supported by open aft decks for outdoor living.
Engineering and Efficiency
Wider’s role in the partnership centers on propulsion and efficiency. Oceans 47 has been engineered with systems designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions while minimizing vibration and noise. The goal is to deliver quiet, environmentally responsible navigation alongside enhanced onboard comfort.
This yacht represents the perfect synthesis of our holistic approach to design, where aesthetics and engineering coexist to offer authentic experiences.

Oceans 47 also forms part of Wider’s broader program of hybrid-focused projects, which currently includes the recently launched WiderCat 92 and the in-build WiderCat 135. Both multihulls apply the same engineering principles now carried into Oceans Yachts: hybrid propulsion, advanced energy storage, and layouts made possible by more compact machinery spaces.

“Its propulsion system and onboard engineering solutions allow for reduced consumption and emissions, while giving owners more liveable spaces and superior comfort.” explained Wider owner Marcello Maggi.
Broader Market Context
Oceans 47 enters a competitive segment of the market where efficiency, volume, and design pedigree are key differentiators. Vripack’s influence places the project in line with some of the studio’s most distinctive work, such as the explorer-style 63.7-meter Hakvoort motor yacht Scout.

At the same time, the focus on natural light and lifestyle amenities recalls Vripack’s more compact projects, including the 25-meter motor yacht Rock II, delivered by Evadne Yachts in 2020 to a Vripack design and naval architecture.

Within the broader market, Oceans 47 aligns with recent 45-50 meter projects such as the Tankoa T450 and Sanlorenzo 500EXP series, as well as custom projects like Feadship’s 49.5-meter motor yacht Project Fun, which is currently listed for sale on YachtBuyer:
Each demonstrates growing demand for yachts in this size range that balance technical sophistication with strong lifestyle appeal.
Outlook
Overall, for OceanWorld Group CEO Lydia Pascarelli, Oceans 47 signals a brand designed to resonate with a new generation of owners: “We wanted to embody an idea of authentic luxury, one that does not compromise on efficiency and that looks boldly to the future of yachting.”
The launch positions Oceans Yachts as a design-driven entrant into the mid-sized custom market, with Vripack’s holistic design and Wider’s engineering experience giving the new partnership a clear technical and stylistic foundation.
