A bespoke project moves into outfitting

With the primary structural work now complete, attention turns to the extensive outfitting process, where mechanical systems, technical equipment and luxury interiors will begin to take shape. Livorno serves as Benetti's dedicated hub for large steel yacht construction, bringing together specialist teams responsible for some of the builder's most technically demanding projects. The transition into outfitting represents one of the most important stages of any custom yacht build, transforming the vessel from its structural form into a fully realised superyacht ahead of launch and sea trials. 

Both the exterior styling and interior design have been created by Cassetta Yacht Designers, which developed a fully integrated design tailored to the owner's specific requirements. Benetti says the project demonstrates its ability to translate complex owner requests into bespoke engineering solutions while maintaining flexibility throughout the build process. Arranged across six decks, the yacht reflects the level of customisation increasingly expected in the large steel yacht sector, where every project is developed as a unique commission rather than a production platform.

Project Iron Man also highlights the collaborative production model used across the Azimut|Benetti Group. While construction is shared across multiple facilities, Livorno plays a central role in managing the outfitting of the builder's largest and most sophisticated steel yachts. The project further reinforces Benetti's position in the custom superyacht market, where the shipyard continues to develop one-off yachts alongside series such as the B.Now and B.Loft ranges, each offering different approaches to large yacht ownership while sharing the builder's emphasis on bespoke craftsmanship.
