Delivered in 1984, Catch is a 26.62m Sport Fisher yacht for sale built by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt, while Lisa Piofsky Designs Inc. is responsible for her interior design.

  • Sportfishing cockpit with fighting chair

Design & Construction

Designed around a deep vee aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 6.3m beam and a 1.68m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 150 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Catch is a 26m (85.3ft) Feadship sportsfish yacht, and the exterior still feels unusual because Feadship applied superyacht-grade detailing to a sportfishing brief. The profile is defined by an exceptionally long, open foredeck, a high flared bow and a compact raised superstructure, so the yacht keeps the proportions of a serious sportsfisher while carrying a much more polished finish than most boats in this category.

The bow is one of the key visual signatures. It is broad, clean and almost uninterrupted, with teak decking set into a white field that was renewed during the 2023 works, while varnished timber detailing and substantial stainless steel fairleads add a more bespoke touch. It is open by design, but it can also take shade and loose furniture, so the space can shift from working deck to lounging area without changing the yacht’s character.

Aft, the cockpit keeps the practical elements expected of a sportfishing yacht, including bait wells, a high transom and provision for a fighting chair, but the space also works as an outdoor leisure deck. The table arrangement can be changed, shade can be deployed when needed, and built-in refrigeration and a sink support day use, so this area is not limited to fishing alone. Raised spectator seating under the shelter of the wheelhouse gives guests a protected place to sit, too, while helm data screens keep them connected to what the yacht is doing.

The bridge continues that same approach. Hidden helm equipment preserves clean lines when systems are not in use, while the aft bridge deck provides another sheltered outdoor seating area as well as wing stations for docking. The overall result is a Feadship sportsfisher that still looks purpose-built, but has far more refinement built into every exterior zone.

Interior Design

Inside, Catch combines the structure of an older Feadship with refit work that has kept the yacht usable and current. A large part of the most recent update focused on upholstery, soft furnishings, cabinetry and tabletops, so the saloon feels fresher than the yacht’s 1984 origins might suggest.

The saloon is bright and neatly organised, with lounge seating to one side and a dining table to the other, while a drop-down television stays hidden until required. That same hideaway approach shapes the galley, where the hob, sink, oven and cooling spaces all sit beneath covers or lift-out sections. It suits the yacht well because the galley is there when needed, but does not dominate the room when the focus is on relaxing or entertaining.

Up in the bridge, the design is even more distinctive. Screens, switch panels and dials disappear behind sliding covers and lift-up compartments, so the helm stays visually clean until the yacht is underway. Once opened, the driving position is pure sportsfisher, with split throttles, straight shafts, bow thruster control and a commanding view over the bow, while the guest seating around the helm keeps this deck social as well as functional.

The finish throughout reflects Feadship’s usual attention to joinery, and the recent refit has sharpened that rather than replacing it with something generic. It still feels like a yacht with history, but it does not feel dated.

Accommodation

Catch has four cabins on the lower deck accepting up to 7 guests, arranged around a central companionway, and the layout is more flexible than it first appears. Near the stair is a useful day head, which helps support the lower deck during day use as well as overnight stays.

Guest accommodation includes a bunk cabin, a twin cabin with a Pullman berth and private bathroom, and a smaller bunk cabin added during the 2023 refit that the crew often use. Forward, the owner’s cabin takes the bow and benefits from a very large overhead hatch, which brings in much of the natural light that side windows would normally provide. Updated materials behind the bed, improved lighting, integrated controls and a wall-mounted television keep the room current, while a bureau area in the entrance lobby adds a little more function.

The owner’s bathroom is generous for a yacht of this size, with a long layout, a separate shower forward and substantial vanity storage. Overall, the accommodation suits the way Catch is used. She can handle nights on board in comfort, but she is also clearly set up as a large, lavish day boat with enough sleeping space to support weekends away or short cruises.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000CR) 1,800hp engines running at 2250rpm, motor yacht Catch is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 20 knots. With her 19,400 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 800 nautical miles at 20 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
