First Admiral A-40 Yacht Begins Outfitting as New 40-Meter Line Advances

Admiral, part of The Italian Sea Group, has started the outfitting phase on the first Admiral A-40 superyacht.

The milestone marks the arrival of a fresh 40-meter entry to the shipyard’s range, positioned as a smaller but confident step into the Admiral fleet.

A New Direction in the Forty-Meter Segment

Although the Admiral A-40 sits at 40 meters and remains below a gross tonnage of 500 GT, the model leans into the language of Admiral’s larger yachts. The sculpted architecture, tall volumes and measured proportions give the hull a presence that reads closer to the 50 to 70 meter sphere. Lines and surfaces stay consistent with the brand’s design culture, shaped through a collaboration between The A Group and Admiral Centro Stile.

Her sculpted architecture, generous volumes and composed proportions draw directly from Admiral’s established fleet, offering a natural point of entry for those seeking distinction in this range."

The exterior profile carries layered decks and wide glazing, part of a geometry that aims for clarity rather than decorative gestures. Constructed entirely in aluminum, the platform supports Admiral’s focus on structural lightness and quiet running, paired with a MAN twin-engine setup for a projected 10-knot cruise and 15-knot top speed. Range at 11.5 knots is anticipated at around 4,000 nautical miles.

Layout Built Around Space and Flow

The A-40’s layout answers a brief not often attempted at this size. An upper-deck owner suite sits above a main-deck VIP, with four guest cabins positioned on the lower level. This gives the superyacht capacity for up to 12 guests across five cabins, supported by a crew complement of nine.

Exterior areas on board the yacht follow the same line of thinking. Each deck leads to open lounges and terraces with clear sightlines, ending in a refined beach zone at the stern. The approach is intended to give the yacht an ease of movement and a sense of scale beyond its length.

The A-Fleet Line Expands

The A-40 will stand as the entry point to a small family of models. A 42-meter evolution is already planned, distinguished by an open beach club that introduces a pool and fold-down terraces.

Both versions of the motor yacht sit within a growing portfolio that focuses on proportion, restraint and structural clarity as core design values.

Large-Yacht Projects Driving Admiral’s Pipeline

According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, the largest yacht database in the world, Admiral currently has 16 yachts in build or on order, with three large custom projects defining the upper end of its portfolio. The 100-meter Project Titanium leads the lineup ahead of its 2026 delivery. Designed by Winch Design and built to Lloyd’s standards, the 3,800 GT yacht introduces a diesel-electric system with Azipods, multi-deck lounges shaped by sweeping glass, and a helipad and pool that anchor its deck plan. Now in outfitting, it marks Admiral’s strongest move yet into the gigayacht space.

The 88-meter Project Spyder, set for 2027, focuses on versatility with a 100 square meter beach club, four fold-out terraces, a main deck pool with skylights and a bow area that transitions between sports court and helipad. Completing the group is the 82-meter Galileo, also due in 2026, which pairs three pools with an underwater cinema and a beach club arranged as a gym, spa and restaurant. Together, the three builds set a clear direction for Admiral’s growth at scale.

For The Italian Sea Group, the A-40 represents more than a smaller Admiral yacht. It extends the shipyard’s design language into a compact footprint without reducing the architectural discipline seen in its larger platforms. The result is aimed at owners seeking a controlled, quiet aesthetic paired with the range and capability expected in this size class. With outfitting now underway, the first A-40 begins its transition from hull to finished yacht, opening a new chapter in Admiral’s 40-meter segment.
