Designed with exterior styling by Espen Øino International and custom interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard, with naval architecture developed in-house by Damen Yachting, the yacht joins the Amels Limited Editions fleet as the newest example of the Amels 60 platform.
Sold in late 2025, ALVA was completed within a relatively short timeframe, with the owner joining the project only months before delivery. Despite this, the yacht incorporates several tailored elements requested by the owner’s team, many of which were designed to strengthen her appeal as a charter vessel.
Interior Design Focused on Light and Connection to the Sea
The interior concept was developed by London-based studio Harrison Eidsgaard, known for its calm, contemporary design language across several recent superyacht projects. On board ALVA, the studio created a warm and relaxed environment shaped by natural light, soft materials, and open sightlines.
Large windows throughout the yacht draw in daylight and maintain strong visual links to the surrounding seascape. Interior spaces are arranged to support a natural flow between indoor lounges and exterior terraces, reinforcing the sense of openness across the three-deck layout.
The design direction leans toward understated elegance rather than formal styling, giving the yacht a comfortable atmosphere suited to extended cruising and charter use.

ALVA is arranged to accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The main deck is dedicated to a full-beam owner’s suite, which includes a fold-down balcony that opens directly to the sea. This feature expands the private living space and creates a secluded outdoor terrace when the superyacht is at anchor.
Distinctive Espen Øino Exterior Styling
As with other yachts in the Amels Limited Editions series, ALVA features exterior styling by Espen Øino International. The design is characterized by crisp lines, balanced proportions, and the distinctive trapezoid-shaped windows that have become a signature element of the Amels 60 profile.
The motor yacht’s layout prioritizes exterior living areas across multiple decks. Her sun deck stands out as a central social space, featuring a large spa tub, a semi-enclosed gym, and an outdoor cinema designed for open-air evening entertainment.
A spacious beach club at the waterline provides a dedicated wellness and relaxation area, strengthening the connection between the yacht’s interior spaces and the surrounding sea. This lower-deck leisure zone has become a defining feature of the Amels 60 platform, emphasizing direct access to the water.
Beginning Her First Charter Season
Following delivery, ALVA has now departed the Netherlands and will cruise the Mediterranean throughout the summer. Planned destinations include France, Italy, the Balearic Islands, and Greece before relocating to the Caribbean for the 2026-2027 winter charter season.
According to Christie Yachts CEO Will Christie, the yacht’s design and onboard facilities position her well within the charter market, particularly for guests seeking modern styling and extensive outdoor spaces.
In recent weeks, Damen Yachting has also reported progress across its larger Amels 80 platform, including the launch of the second hull Netto II and the recent rollout of the third unit, Project Zurich, in Vlissingen. Together with the delivery of ALVA, these milestones highlight continued activity across both the 60m and 80m series within the Amels Limited Editions program.
As ALVA begins her inaugural season under her new owner, she adds another delivered hull to the expanding Amels 60 fleet, reinforcing the ongoing demand for the series within the semi-custom superyacht segment.
